Suggestions: Natsume Isaku's works are my favorites. Especially Ameiro Paradox and Kiraboshi Dial. I tend to find BL with an extra serving of FLUFF and ADORABLENESS. But of course, the story needs to have DEPTH. It can't be nonsense fluff. Specifically, the "I'm-straight-but-I'm-banging-this-one-guy-cause-he's-strangely-kawaii-but-NO-HOMO" kind of......   reply

I tend to be drawn to series that have a darker tone. The ones I love most often revolve around characters that have their own demons or major issues but find some sort of comfort in each other. I like protective but not possessive characters, and I heavily favor consensual scenes.   1 reply

If I'm on a page that shows anything raunchy I'll switch off of it. I keep other tabs open for that occasion. However it's not because I don't want people to know, it's just because some people aren't very comfortable with pornographic content. My mother knows full well that I read yaoi, and doesn't care. She has no real interest in it, but I've mentioned specific stories and shown some (non-pornographic) pictures to her when talking about things I like and admire in them. Then again, We're both adults, so it's just not a big deal.   reply

If I'm gonna read a yaoi manga, it must have a good and believable plot. I can't stand redundant, cliche plots. Romance and tenderness is ideal. I prefer to see the characters "making love" as opposed to just "fucking". And of course, mutual consent is a must.   reply

good storyline ;P I don't really care about the art style and smut as long as the story line is good (and cute) then i'll read it. But if the story is just about rape *cough cough* CASTE HEAVEN *cough cough* or just smut and no plot then I might not read it for long or I'll force myself to read it but ill probably be regretting it later lol   reply

I've read tons of yaoi and BL online, but sadly only own 4 hard copy manga, 3 light novels and 3 anime OVA's. I don't own any digital copies because I don't have a tablet or e-reader, and my poor old phone can't handle much of anything. Well, I like a good storyline with good art of hot guys. I like them to fall in love naturally. I like for the plot and characters to seem realistic. I try to avoid any and rape, forced or 'tricked into it' themed yaoi when I can. I like love and smut together, not JUST smut. I AM the parent, and I read it all the time. I make sure that I'm alone when reading any M/18+ ones...but I'll read softer BL/yaoi right on the desktop pc in the livingroom for anyone to see.
