I do agree with this to a certain extent but this mindset is a duel edge sword. I have been a long term reader of BL and yaoi. First traumatic experience of discovering it happened at age eight while on youtube; an erei video (yes ik) just automatically played after a pucca and garu compilation. It was jarring.
