I just got into it like half a year ago (I was into BTS and the likes before i discovered it). I was so impressed by how different it sounds from the other type of genres im used to. Not only it sounds catchy, but the lyrics are so amazing and touching most of the time (yes, just most of the time. you will also find lyrics that are just batshit crazy). It's like discovering a new world. The first one i discovered was "dramaturgy" by eve. I discovered it from a minecraft noteblock video on youtube LOL. I thought it sounds catchy so i looked up the original song and i got into it since then. Then i discovered popular composers like MARETU, kikuo, wowaka, DECO*27, kairiki bear and more underrated composers. Also utaites like miyashita yuu and mafumafu. Utaites also make original songs so i listen to that too. Back then, i was still skeptical about the whole virtual idol like hatsune miku (i just simply didnt enjoy how they sound). But after a while, their robotlike voice just grows on me and i eventually got into vocaloid and utauloid lol (I watched their concerts on youtube and got so excited when they perform a song i knew ε=ε=(ノ≧∇≦)ノ).
