I definitely prefer manga for some of the same reasons that others have listed (line art on the whole tends to be more complex, I don't think color in and of itself adds much, and so on). I don't find webtoons to be more diverse - they're just inflected with different tropes (as others note KDramas are a pervasive influence). Given that webtoons ......   1 reply

I prefer BL manga, I think mostly because the art quality tends to drop if you're coloring it, I prefer lineart. This is important to me because not only I'm an artist, but I also want to be a manga artist and move to Japan in 2-3 years. Manga def has more of that high quality beautiful feel I think, I just love Japanese culture? idk. It seems like......   reply

An aspect that I prefer about Korean manhwa/webcomics is that they are in full color, which helps me better see the action of what is going on or what needs to be focused on. Sometimes the black and white of manga, especially on a computer screen, plays tricks on my eyes--and I don't want to spend five minutes trying to figure out what I'm looking......   1 reply

i think both are good in their own way, bl manwha is usually colored, which gives the reader a bigger idea of the setting. bl manga is very original though, there's more variety for manga, and it's just as interesting. i prefer manga though, it has a lot less "jokes", depends on which manga/manwha you're reading though.   reply

Weirdly enough I was just thinking about this very thing. I think both have their pros. I've recently gotten into webtoons and I'm addicted to them. I love that fact that they are in color which just adds more than say if it were in black and white. It's kind of like watching an anime at times. Good question you have asked.   1 reply

I prefer manga over manwha. But manwha is good but not for certain things. The art doesn't have that much emotion in manwha tbh. So yeah, I prefer manga. This is what I mean Not a lot of expression And there is "ahegao" (we can't forget that)   9 reply

To be honest since I've read pretty much everything I'd find interesting manga-wise (I've been reading BL for around 3 years I think, for some it's a lot for others it isn't w/e) I do like how there are more and more K-webcomics popping up here and there, and while I truly love almost all of them I can't help but see (most of) them somewhat mediocr......   3 reply

bl manga mangas ofc have more quality content than webcomics (in terms of character development , plotline blah blah blah ). the webcomics r usually rushed and end up at a point where so much storys content is just left out (ik it doesn't happen with every but often it does). tbh this can also take place with many mangas as well but still there w......   2 reply

I love reading both. Webtoon makes everything more enjoyable because most of it are in full-color and it's easy to read because the panels are arranged in a way that you can just scroll and scroll. The stories and premises are very unique too! But that's exactly the problem, it starts out so good but often times it gets too dragged and too drama-i......   2 reply

Personally, I find Korean BL webcomics to be generally better than most yaoi. My points: - Full Color + Good and unique art styles - More diverse, with characters who are out of the ordinary - Interesting storylines with less of a cliche plotline - Interesting themes and concepts - Longer length - Characters who are more likable (debatable) - A str......   1 reply

I completely agree with you, there's a lot more diversity in characters, art style, storylines etc in Manhwa/Manhua. Of course, it makes it a little hard to find what you'd like to read on a specific day, but I like variety and taking a longer time to find what you want is better than having very limited options.   1 reply

Bl mangas will always be there for me to read when I want to relax (lmao), and I still read bl mangas more than bl webcomics, but I feel like korean bl webcomics are a lot more...diverse? in their stories. For example, there have been popular and unique new BL stories to come out in the recent years, thanks to the rise of Kwebcomics. Such as, Killing Stalking, which surprised a lot of people, and also sparked controversy. Of course, there has been a lot of Korean BL webcomics that I did find mediocre (especially the ones under "comedy", but that's just my opinion). Whereas, for bl mangas, it's been a while since I've seen something new. Then again, there's been new popular animes with BL in it, such as Yuri on ice, or a more recent adaption, Banana Fish (didn't watch banana fish). But from my knowledge, the manga was serialized in the 80s-90s. There's also the fact that Kwbcomics are also usually colored, and the panel layouts are different. Anyways, I'm rambling and I'm not the best with words, but I hope I made sense for the most part.

TLDR; I think that Korean BL webcomics brings a refreshing change for the bl community. Which one do you prefer? And why? What are your thoughts? Do you read more bl/yaoi mangas or bl/yaoi webcomics? (=・ω・=)

I don't like when the uke falls in love with the person who raped them like EW WUT NO! STOP BEING STUPID! When the ukes are super girly and weak, gang orgy stuff like BLEH! I don't like omegaverses cuz it's set in stone who to like. There r only a couple I like for their storyline. Bara is too manly for me. Vanilla and boring stories like childhood......   1 reply

I basically do it every night when I read yaoi. I only get horny when I read two guys doing it. When I tried to think of a specific guy or crush, i don't feel horny even tho I'm straight. Oh, I rub and don't put fingers in. I tried n didnt feel it but i only did it for a few seconds. I'm also scared that I might hurt myself somehow. I got long fing......   1 reply

Childhood/Best friends to lovers. It's just so overplayed and honestly every plot ends up the same way. Even in manga's that aren't specifically related to this theme, almost every time a childhood friend is introduced I wanna chuck myself out the window. And I think it is mainly because most of the time it's rare for the childhood friend character......   reply

I like a good plot but sometimes I avoid those with complicated topics like a hostest uke or slutty uke tht sleeps around. And there are some like that that are written in a good way but others are just straight up annoying and too troublesome. It just bothers me. But theres also those that are just tragic and sad,, I'm here for a good time,, ffs   1 reply

A slutty uke or seme who goes around fking other ppl even though they're in a relationship. And especially when uke who sleep around just to maintain his position or something and then come the cliche part he can only sleep with seme now bcuz other can't satisfy uke's lust . Also, I hate when seme is a fuckboi and goes after uke bcuz he find him "i......   2 reply
