The thing is they never (will) have any valid reason. If you ask them why do you hate homosexuals they will say it's against god. Well, I believe everyone is entitled to their own opinions, and treating them poorly because they disagree with you is wrong. If someone is homophobic then you shouldn't persecute them, however, if they treat other people poorly because of their opinion then its a problem.
