I really don't care about it BUT, I just find it weird that the country I was born in literally worships it when religion is the reason why we were colonized for so many years, plus I'm pretty sure there's more churches than hospital here, like are we really prioritizing the church rather than hospitals???

I have such mixed views on it.. it's kind of hard to completely detach yourself from something so entwined in all aspects of your life so I personally don't find comfort in completely abandoning it (it's complicated I don't even practice religion conventionally). Religion is for poor people guys. Just think of it as a way of keep people in check. That way people won't think the injustice won't have consequences. Actually there are lots of other uses of religion like political issues but I won't even get there I could write an essay about this reply

I'm culturally catholic it comes with being born in Italy and i studied religion all throughout my elementary school years and I went to church because in the summer they would hold fun stuff and even through all that i never even pretended to believe in it. All i got is the catholic guilt. 1 reply
