It started with love.
Big Spoon wuvs Smol Spoon.
Two people with good careers. Surrounded by supportive parents, and a very capable super-fujo secretary... So what's stopping them from getting married?!!
COMMUNICATION. That's their problem. *sigh*
more than that, I love how the manga shows how life gives you big successes, small successes and everything in between. If only love can be approached like business, ne, these two idiot ahos.
Yakuza x Copper.
Relationship goals.
Dog called Chibi.
WHAT MORE DO YOU NEED?
Amnesia-FILA plot line.
But with some amazing dialog and humor.
The beer-code is amazing.
"He's a minor." can't, won't do anything. wait 2 years. NO LONGER A MINOR! HELLS YEAH!
"I need to loosen you up properly"
Do you know how rare it is to read this kind of thing in a BL manga?
The main thrust (heh) of the story isn't the main couple, but the pov of the little brother.
In 3 chapters, Ike Reibun addresses so many family issues in a VERY tactful way.
The mortality of the infirm old, the struggle of carers esp those who are minors (still an overlooked part of society);
The burden of a single parent;
Growing up gay, and the burden of expectations;
Brother complex without turning gay or to incest
last but not least... Older!woman/Younger!man (boss/subordinate)
War changes everyone. This writer is amazing. Never having to stray to overblown cliches or over the top angst, but the realness of the effects of war (and the aftermath of it) to those who came back from the Front and those who were left behind tending to the hearth... it was cathartic to read. And deserves so many re-reads.
"...is that a cobra in your pocket, or are you just excited to see me?"
basically it is like this.
Research your first night thoroughly.
If that is not enough, research p3n1s reduction surgery.
Boy tries to date boy. Boy tries to find twu wuv with boy.
Only time will tell...
DO NOT READ WHEN HUNGRY!
Otherwise, it is very calming and an enjoyable look of the day-to-day.
Life's little problems are discussed here like you would discuss about this and that around the dinner table.
There are little gems of wisdom and contemplation that can be a bit of a blink-and-you-miss-it type, but it is never preachy.
