A non-human and his bodyguard go from town to town to grant wishes in return for a price. So we get a new story every chapter and little clues about the MCs. Off the beaten track and very interesting....
Not the ending you'd expect but it's bitter-sweet and shows what real world relationships are like. The story of the friendship between a gay man and a straight man.
This is a set of 3 stories about hybrid children (AI dolls that can be brought up like children and trained to mimic human behavior) and their owners. The mangaka is a genius, seamlessly integrating drama, emotion and humor into a tear-jerker that is also very fulfilling. The intensity increases exponentially from the first story and the last story is the best. Must read.
Very realistic and interesting take on loneliness, shallow relationships and the trivial things that can save a person. Also, amazing how the relationships in the manga are very similar to real life relationships where it's hard to know where you stand with a person simply based on their behavior especially for those who are not very perceptive.
Amazing..... The pov of a public prosecutor, Hiura who is investigating the "missing person" case of a lawyer, Kageyama who was his long-time friend. Kageyama was also gay and had a crush on Hiura since the first time they met. Now that he was assaulted, possibly dumped into a river and missing since then, Hiura has to deal with the possibility that he might be dead while desperately hoping to see him irrespective of shape or form, dead or alive.
This one should go down as a classic. One of my all-time favorites..... Reading this is like watching a classic Hollywood movie..... every single scene is depicted beautifully from the way the MCs meet, their interactions, the dialogues, the angst when they find themselves on the wrong side of a drug deal gone bad, the way they salvage the situation, the sweet moments together, all the way till the very last as they prepare for the reunion...
Story of 2 Kabuki dancers who are contemporaries, competitors and co-actors... their relationship on stage and off stage... Fun characters, good pacing and an introduction to the world of Kabuki...
Excellent story and characterization - lovable but flawed characters, love, angst and a happy ending. What more can you ask for?
Sawa has an unrequited crush on the ballet talent, 17 year old Nanao that he is tutoring. Nanao is a confident, happy-go-lucky high schooler who doesn't give much thought to feelings as he goes through one girl friend after another while also having casual sex with Sawa. But just as Nanao starts getting more deeply involved, Sawa walks away without any explanation
Set in limbo, this is the story of a man who is sent to limbo to pay for his sin of killing a lot of people in a war. He has no memory of his old life and is given a name by Makoto, a boy he meets in limbo. In true yaoi fashion, they fall for each other but there is a dark shadow lurking in the background as there is a secret behind why Makoto and his father are struck in limbo unable to move on. The story is sometimes sweet, sometimes melancholy and the ending is earned.
Amazing art and very realistic story set in Germany. Wil and Paul are attracted to each other from the moment they meet but they both have strong personalities that make it hard for anyone to stay close to them. There's a lot of personal demons to slay before they can find a way to be together for more than a day at a time. The pencil art is mind blowing.. Would suggest that you read it on webtoon or tapas for free, if you want to interact with and support the creator.
