This writer is in a class of her/his own. This manga is an example of how a cliched plot (sex between friends under extenuating circumstances) can become a work of art in the hands of the right artist. Excellent pacing, brilliant characterization and well-executed storyline.
A pair that is truly made for each other. Satoru is an extremely smart and successful individual who is easily bored. But he has to be at the top of his game (no pun intended) to go toe to toe with Makio. The stakes are not trivial in the game they play because Makio can and will exploit every chink in the other's armor to come out on top (again, no pun intended). This dance where you never know what's coming next is a pleasure to watch. Also, the story doesn't regress into the sappy territory.
This is one of the best gay man + straight man romances I've ever read. Both the characters are lovable while having their own flaws. It also beautifully captures Deguchi's fears and insecurities as he struggles with whether to be happy with what he has or to confess his feelings. Onoda's kindness as well as his indecisiveness as he struggles to respond to the confession is also quite realistic and well captured. Excellent plot, characters and pacing.
One of the best office romances ever.... Mikado is a closet idol fan. His boss Anezaki is a slave driver and tactless person who pushes all the grunt work to him, forces him to do overtime and steals his stash of junk food. After an office party, a drunk Anezaki mistakes Mikado for a one-night stand and rides him while asking to be filmed. Mikado uses the video to threaten Anezaki into treating him better until Anezaki sneaks his way into Mikado's flat full of idol posters and memorablia.
This one should go down as a classic. One of my all-time favorites..... Reading this is like watching a classic Hollywood movie..... every single scene is depicted beautifully from the way the MCs meet, their interactions, the dialogues, the angst when they find themselves on the wrong side of a drug deal gone bad, the way they salvage the situation, the sweet moments together, all the way till the very last as they prepare for the reunion...
Omegaverse about an alpha, Hyeono, whose new subordinate is an omega, Gyojin, a classmate from his school days with whom he has an axe to grind. So he does petty things to make Gyojin's life difficult whereas Gyojin assumes that he is doing all that because just like all the other alphas around him, Hyeono wants him to put out.
An omegaverse worth reading. The matter-of-fact way in which Gyojin treats the lewd glances, words and behavior of the alphas around him is heart breaking.
A huge fan of this artist. The best thing about her manga is that there are so many characters and many different couples and their relationships are very different and distinct. So, even if there are some you can't stand, you'll find at least a couple that you can get behind. Interestingly, I hated the first couple in both this one and in Ze but loved some of the others. The best part is that the artist gives a lot of attention to supporting characters and manages to breath life into
Excellent story. The story telling has a layered approach and every dialogue and incident has meaning. This one has a lot of potential and is going to be an interesting ride. Nishida Higashi is just amazing.
Synopsis (contains spoilers): Tsuchida is a reckless detective, who is relegated to patrol duty after being shot by a criminal. He meets Haruki while on patrol and falls for him. Only after they spend a night together does he finally realize who Haruki really is.
Very cute and fluffy story.... After being a gloomy nerd in high school, Hiromu changed himself and became a stylish hairdresser. Then, he once again met Natsuo, who endlessly troubled him during his high school days. So, when Natsuo confesses that he fell in love with the now stylish Hiromu at first sight, Hiromu couldn't help but plot revenge...
Absolutely love this one. All the characters are lovable, especially Yuuto. He is one of my favorite manga characters of all time - pure sunshine. Ryuusei is a cinnamon roll too - he is so gentlemanly that he drives poor Yuuto to a corner by insisting on waiting to go all the way despite Yuuto saying he doesn't mind. A frustrated Yuuto has to finally say, "come on, read between the lines", LOL. The conflict and their relationship is handled sensitively without 2 much drama.
Warning for incest.
