Very realistic and interesting take on loneliness, shallow relationships and the trivial things that can save a person. Also, amazing how the relationships in the manga are very similar to real life relationships where it's hard to know where you stand with a person simply based on their behavior especially for those who are not very perceptive.
Has everything that a friends to lovers story should have. It's a very mature relationship.
The conservative boss and his go-getter sub-ordinate try their best to deny their attraction to one another until it becomes too apparent to hide anymore. It's almost like a slice-of-life in that there are no dramatic developments but they have to deal with the ghosts of their past actions and choices and tie up loose ends as they slowly admit that they are in love. It's very beautifully written like all other works of Nishida Higashi.
I loved the prequel (First Bite) but it left me feeling sad about Kami being left all alone.
This is the story of Kami, a construction worker who always cooks too much and never finishes his lunch boxes, and Waki, a food reporter whose sense of taste is iffy.... Waki gets addicted to Kami's food and Kami loves watching him enjoy his food.... But Waki is a bit of an air head and Kami has too much baggage from the past that prevent him from moving forward....
The best "best friends to lovers" story ever..... And the best dialogue ever is the last one in the final chapter - "Woo hooo.... I said it.... tralalala....."
Shout out to the translation team.... They've tried really hard to bring across the accented language and to keep the atmosphere right throughout the translation..... Definitely recommend.
Very well written story and good pacing. Kaichi is a mind-reader and because of that he is socially awkward. His only friend is his senpai from high school, Anan, who always speaks his mind and enjoys watching Keichi's eyes turn golden when he is reading someone's mind. Kaichi's uncle forces him to take in his cousin, Tatsuya, who seems to be suffering from abuse. Kaichi is troubled because he is not able to read Tatsuya's mind. So when both Anan and Tatsuya confess to him, w
This manhwa starts off with a cliched, cringe-worthy plot-line based on misunderstandings that could and should be resolved within the first 5 minutes. But then it goes on to explore and analyze the characters and why they behave the way they do. Brilliant execution makes this a fluffy, funny, enjoyable read. Definitely recommend.
Oh... and it's also quite hot...
A very refreshing though heart wrenching take on second chances and re-doing life. It does some over-reaching, almost a Deus ex Machina, to force a happy ending but by that point you'll be so invested that you wouldn't care how fantastic the method is as long as our MCs could live happily ever after.
A slow burn that shows the process of falling in love and realizing it. Excellent for when you have a lot of time and need something sweet.
Very cute manga about step-brothers who've held a candle for each other all their lives. Mikage tries his best to stop himself and step away but keeps getting drawn in more and more...
