Picker Upper - Feel good manga executed well

Super cute... On his 30th birthday, Yoshino goes to a gay bar for the first time and has sex for the first time with Rou, a student. There is obvious attraction but Rou's game of "push and pull" backfires when Yoshino takes it all seriously and walks away. Very well written. All the characters are pretty well presented. Loved the way Yoshino's curiosity during his first time was shown. Overall, a nice read.

A love triangle centered around Henry, a tsundere who is very bad at expressing his feelings. The bad part of this is that it is written like most love triangles that are meant to sell episodes of a long running manga where readers ship one or the other lead and have full blown ship wars. The good part is that it delves a little (not a lot, just a little bit) into the psychology of the characters and the feelings of abandonment that lead to bad decisions. A good read nevertheless.

Very well done friends-to-lovers story. Kanade is a closeted gay who gave up on love after a bad experience when he confessed to a friend. Then, he meets his first love, his best friend in high school, Mashiro, he never confessed to. Kanade tries to keep a distance but Mashiro becomes almost stalkerish in his pursuit of rekindling their friendship. Kanade also has to deal with a persistent lady co-worker who confessed to him. Things come to a head when another co-worker sees him with Mashiro.

I quite like it. Story of 2 confused teenagers who figure things out eventually after going around in circles. Light-hearted fluff.

Homura and Touji, who belong to opposing Yakuza groups are in a secret relationship. While Touji is all in, Homura expects this to be a fling that would end when Touji has to get married and take over the group. Things come a head when Homura is unable to push away his persistent admirer, host Kyouya, and Touji proposes marriage to the daughter of the head of the Tanno yakuza group that Homura is part of.

Stories of 2 couples working in an Izakaya. Pretty straight-forward fluff, but done well. Misunderstandings get clarified quickly and things proceed quite smoothly.

I really liked this novel all the way through. Hamura, a sports student, specializing in sprints, had a sex-friend relationship with Jin, another student who specialized in pole vault. During an argument, he inadvertently scars Jin's face with the spikes in his shoe. Before he has a chance to apologize, Jin leaves and Hamura is left yearning for him. Years laters, Hamura has switched to pole vault in hopes of feeling closer to Jin, and then one day, he meets Jin again.

Very well done. An interesting manga about a kind and bright rope artist, and a gloomy, low self-esteem yakuza. Lots and lots of fluff and MCs worth rooting for.
The rope artist, Rui, stays in a building owned by yakuza and works on bondage porn films. The yakuza boss asks him to hide one of his subordinates for a while and Rui doesn't get a chance to refuse. Enter Natori, looking like Rui's dream man in the flesh. Rui finds it harder and harder to keep his hands and rope to himself.

It's an interesting story of Hotaka, a caretaker in an old age home, who is way too kind while being unable to understand his own emotions. 2 his 4 friends, Chika and Masato are in love with him. Chika proposes a temporary relationship and Hotaka accepts coz he feels bad for Chika who has to carry the burden of responsibilities of his family. But seeing them together hurts Masato, who had to get married when a casual relationship ended up in pregnancy.

One of the nicest stories I've ever met. It really shows how people are shaped by their surroundings. All 3 main characters (4?) are such awesome people who continue to be good humans despite harsh circumstances.Their relationship with each other is so beautiful and precious even when it doesn't work out.
I especially loved and cried for Yoo Won's situation because of just how fragile and precarious it is. He hardly has anything that the smallest mistake can destroy his whole life.
