The fact that the side story is better than the original one kinda pisses me off...like,yo...

it's not unnecessary, it's the story Euja wanted to tell!!

I understand but it's Literally ALTERNATE universe. Many writers do this to experiment with ideas they aren't completely dedicated to, so they don't wanna draw it as full fledged story. Just a short ride.

Rape will always be unnecessary

the act, the crime we abhor, yes - but ofc no one means that.
we mean as one of the tragedy elements for the story to set the mood for the story (rape, death, murder, torture, loss of a limb, loss of a sense, loss of a s/o, etc)

all of these are, by your definition, unnecessary. but then, nothing would ever happen in fiction (￣∇￣")

Again, rape will ALWAYS be unnecessary
EVEN in fiction...but ofc if it were a stranger that raped the MC you'd be singing a different tune


Death, losing a body part, murder, torture, when are these ever done by the main characters towards the love interest or vice versa and it's okay???
But I guess according to you it's okay because the love interest is good looking, the story is cute and it's fiction.

You can include those tragedies...but when the love interest/mc is the one whos supposed to be the other's "happy place/home" then it'll always be unnecessary.

It's true, the story is cute and adorable but the only reason I'm looking past the rape part and ANYONE should be looking past these things is because it is fiction.
Doesn't mean you get to excuse it ever
You can can literally, "this story was soo cute, I love it sm but the rape part was so offputting"

I was already put off when MC started bleeding and the LI didn't care, almost dropped it even.

Not to mention the story could've still survived if he didn't rape him, creativity is endless.
These things are just wayyy too normalised in this community

just finished reading an update of one where the MC finally comes to terms that with his feelings for ML, who is the same guy who murdered and destroyed his entire village, including his MOTHER, then later MC even eats one of ML's fingers (he isnt human)

watching characters being betrayed then killed by loved ones; or just ppl getting murdered in general in movies all these years hasnt normalized murder for us (as we've seen from the shock from those ICE murders, for ex.)

so manhwas sure as he'll won't normalize rape, come on.

and yes, the story is good, it would've survived without ch2 rape scene, but again, it's the story the author wanted to tell. and in a/b/o settings, you'll rarely see something else.
