yeah.. like that mini-comic that started that one chapter was way too sympathetic after we just saw him rape our MC.....................and they tried to paint the mom as a poor victim trying her best, but she let terrible men into their home, sold her son into prostitution, and looked away when the men did such horrible things to him that the MC couldn't even repeat it even as an adult. but we're supposed to feel sorry for her bc she was a single mom and tried putting on a ring too small for her? and we're supposed to feel sorry for suda bc he actually loved the MC, even though he treated him that way? i am all for complex and morally grey characters, but they were actually really awful. and the ML and the neighbor were wayyy too soft. if i was him, i would never meet up with my lover's abusive, neglectful pimp mom who trafficked my lover in their childhood, just to "hear her side of the story" tf. call the cops or help them file a restraining order (▰˘◡˘▰)
