Exactly. And the fact that they're saying it was supposed to be jo because he was introduced first and we got his POV first? Since when has storytelling has to be strictly one way or another? This shows me they've never read much stuff yet because that's such a funny argument , and frankly pathetic.
Ian's goal was never just about getting away from the gangster life. What he wants was to be with tj while ALSO being away from the gangster life. These people can't comprehend complex psychologycal turmoil, so they continue to be stuck with their shallow opinions. It's just sad. I feel like tons of people reading this are children tbh.
honestly on the first part it was obvious that jo would be the ml everything was focused on him and tj was inly getting short exposure. when tj appeared he got so viral and the fans were begging the author to make him the ml and then the author posted something on twitter to vote which one is supposed to be more popular and tj won and thats when the shift in the story started so u cant tell me that the ml isnt changed midway.
tbh if ure a reader and have a different opinion keep it to urself and dont say shitty word of insulting others like pathetic and acting like children.
Nah, see, when I first read it, I assumed Jo would be because that’s how these stories typically go. I didn’t even care about TJ because I actually thought his role was just to illustrate the past Ian was leaving behind. So I read it assuming that to be the truth. Until we reached the end of season 1 and something wasn’t adding up to me. With way Ian love TJ and everything we’d seen from their past, I couldn’t see how the author would get me to believe he’d ever love or care about anyone more than he did TJ. So when season 2 came out, I stacked a few chapters and re-read the whole thing. That’s when I realized that my preconceived idea that Jo was the ML might have been wrong and TJ and Ian became a couple I was invested in. The switch from Ian wanting nothing to with the gang and walking right back in because TJ’s life was in danger actually made me fall for his character. I felt like I was seeing Ian for the first time in that moment. Not who he was trying to be, but who he actually was. Then to see TJ switch from clinging to Ian in every way he could, to demanding he stays away from him so his life wouldn’t be endangered? Leading up to him disappearing because Ian wouldn’t listen to his demand? Yeah, Jo wasn’t about to last. Ian needed TJ to walk away from the gang so they could be together. Otherwise, he was ready to leave him and basically get his second best option, which was Jo. That’s really all there was to it. I’m telling you, re-reading was illuminating. And obvious from the start. I think we all got lost in flashbacks and their separation so the uncertainty just caused both ships not to be as obvious since we were reading it in a weekly basis rather than a single binge.

i am honestly just so upset that the ml changed because of tj’s fans we all know that jo was supposed to be the ml in the first chapters and it was all from his pov hes literally the better choice than tj who is manipulative and broke ians leg. i get that hes hot no arguments but the story just flopped cause the author favored tj since he was getting more trending ang many tj fans are acting crazy that he should be the ml
like ian’s main objective was to get away from his thug life but he still ended up with the person from the past. i feel like they just messed up jo’s life without any reason
