I understand but MC being a mess doesn't make ML any more likeable to me , I know there's more to both of them , but we agree that he's forceful and isn't good with understanding yuhyeon's boundaries , yeah that's your average yaoi omegaverse bullshit but I got pissed off and had to voice my disdain to these "alpha" depictions including the guy who got written as a rapist to "advance" the plot , it's getting tired

He fought both openly and secretly, putting his life on the line to protect MC from anything that would harm his mind, body, or dignity.

Don't you remember what you saw in the most recent chapter? ML also had proven that even when an Alpha was overwhelmed by Omega pheromones and in an intense rut, they could control their impulses and actions.
Despite his repeated warnings being dismissed as mere jealousy, and when ML retorted with "Who do you think you are?", ML backed down saying, "Right. There's nothing between us. Sorry."
Who, seeing this, panicked that ML might actually leave this time, and then said, "There is something between us," and lightly kissed him to appease, denying that "boundary"?
The Chairman(grandson) issue was just MC's dad suddenly brought up recently.
If MC had simply given a clear YES or NO answer to ML during the 10year grace period, instead of insulting ML, treating him like garbage, and keeping him as a convenient tool, ML wouldn't have been driven to the point of clinging to promises that MC doesn't even remember a single word of.
It's all that MC brought upon himself.
Now MC's finally even treating ML extremely far worse than a rapist Alpha, like he's absolutely worthless thing to him, insulting not only his dignity but his entire life, all for the sake of the chairman's seat.
Then why didn't he just cut ties with ML sooner? He'd only been treating him as a mere suppressant for over decade anyway, so it shouldn't have been difficult at all.
It's totally nonsense to overlook such an insincere, greedy, and contradictory psychopath—who is only sensitive to his own pain, completely ignoring the pain of the person who went to such lengths to protect and support him, and even intentionally insulting and hurting them for over 10 years without letting them go—and then blame the true victim instead.
I know it's pointless to say anything to people who overlook anything simply because they have the titles of MC or Omega, and demonize or blame anyone just because they have the titles of ML or Alpha.
And I pathetically know how foolish it is to waste time and mental on something that completely ignores from the very beginning, all the premises, the character settings, the process, and is full of contradictions, without any logic or legitimacy, something that can no longer even be called a 'work' ... lol
I'm simply writing down my trashy opinion as an ugly zombie lamenting the extreme despair suffered by a character who, despite the plot and writing being the most incoherent and terrible thing I've ever seen, was somehow made to continue reading (but no more) because I just wanted to see him find happiness he deserve.

And trust me I'm not here to defend the "uwu smol bean" uke just because.. you're actually right that he's an inconsistent mess and way too self centered , he's extremely flawed ,and it's important not to erase him from the equation on how things played / will play out , and it's also for this exact reason that you should not ignore the core of his character and internality , ofc your average omegaverse sucks at depicting psychosocial struggles/social dynamics fairly , but it's clear enough that MC rather than being a "psychopath" for the sake of it , is simply struggling within a system that is adamant on setting him to failure , his offensive , inconsistent and insensitive behaviour are simply defenses , manifestations of his inner conflict of preserving his pride/integrity and yielding to his desires , and it's important to see that this is something he perceives as a matter of life and death
And thing is , he actually does like ML , and like someone doesn't mean you treat them fairly actually , to me it's clear that it is the case , he deludes himself into believing that he only uses him for his heats , but that's only so he can preserve some inner cohesion (so doesn't feel threatened by his own vulnerability and the imminent danger of being an alpha's "omega" , he spent his whole life building walls around himself and fight his primal shame of being an omega with desires , and ML brings all of these things out)
ML has the privilege to not operate this way , he doesn't care about secondary genders , he only cares about him , loving yuhyeon is a struggle that has a finality , one that is rewarding and flourishing and that's it , but to MC , again ending up with an alpha doesn't promise security if anything, everything he's built so far will go down the drain , so yes this combined with his personality , they're bound to not understand each other , and act the way they're doing!
To us readers it's easy to get frustrated by such things but yeah my point is that , if you're willing to understand ML , I promise MC also got a lot to back him up as well !!
I know ML isn't a demon and it wasn't fair of me to group him with a rapist , I said in the earlier reply that I'm aware there's more to both of them , he loves the mc almost unconditionally and it's true that he's being led in a way , however he's bound by some stereotypical alpha characteristics that irked me , they do not show in their casual encounters but definitely in their sexual dynamic , which is not serious to some probably but it is not lost to me ex: releasing his pheromones so the sex goes the way he wants .. which yes it's ridiculous this is omegaverse what do I expect right but yes we got triggered by two different things and I think both are fair tbh
And in this comic, that secretary was just a plot device to stir up more conflict , and he's gonna get some half assed redemption arc or get paired with the blue haired guy , and I hate it because if you're willing to introduce something as heavy as rape you should at least make an effort to handle it with more sensibility , as of the main charau they're gonna end up together anyways , maybe in the most lazily executable way possible but yeah
