This exactly omg. I get JH's frustration but everyone's coming out experience is different and it should never be used as a method to prove their love, or anything for that matter
Especially because Garam has trauma around the subject and does not have the monetary funds to just fuck up his work, school and social life. What if his work isn’t open about stuff like that and then his career is fucked? A heir to a huge conglomerate obviously does not have to care that much about this. I think people who downplay that just never experienced the actual stigma around being queer even in countries that are supposedly more accepting
The people who are angry about Garam wanting to stay in the closet are exactly the kind of people I don't feel safe coming out to.
I'd rather people think I'm straight than get involved with that kind of person
