so we don't even know what happened to her family even at the end? that's one of the things i really don't like about this story, how she (and the author) basically abandons her land, the only times she thinks of it in the webtoon for now is when thinking about returning to it after her divorce. she doesn't even think about how they fare in her absence
the author is so thoughtless that she wrote her to be cruel like that
is she suppose to think about her "Mother" 24/7 like a crying child. I'm pretty sure the mother is still stuck in that old castle. so I'm sure the knights are still protecting her. right now this is a story about the mc and the ml let there journey begin
Yes exactly! That’s why I didn’t like the ending cause we don’t know what happened afterwards. I never got a chance to read the side stories so maybe they continued there story and we find out what happens with the family
The novel focuses heavily on how FL feels really unworthy of anything because of how dire and serious the situation in her territory is. So although ML loves her almost instantly our pure heart FL can’t understand how someone so “prefect” can love her. Even tho us readers know how selfish and cruel Victor is. With all that said I do feel like with how much FL thought about her territory she doesn’t do anything to reach out to them

At one point in the novel she thinks about how her dowry would help build the walls and how she hasn’t heard from anybody but also hasn’t sent any letters either. She then does nothing. So it’s weird to me that she thinks about them so much but doesn’t do more to get in touch with them.

? For those that have read the novel: are you satisfied with the ending? I personally didn’t like how it ended with such an open ended and so many ?s unanswered. I didn’t get a chance to read the side stories so maybe that would affect my opinion about it.

****** disclaimer I read the novel a long time ago so I don’t remember all the details. ********
Throughout the story it’s hinted that the monsters active increased. Well towards the end it’s found out that Amari is overwhelmed with monsters and no one can get in contact with them. Marion worried goes to Amari to find out what happened and of course ML follows her there. Once they get there they see half built walls and lots of monster. Turns out FL is so OP that she was the reason the territory was able to be somewhat livable. So although they tried building walls (with money from FL’s dowry) to keep monsters out not having FL there the monsters became overwhelming. They couldn’t finish building walls let alone containing/preventing monster going to other territories. FL & ML continuously fight monsters to the point that they become exhausted and begin getting injured.

As things are looking grim for both they start confessing their love for each other and how even if they die in that moment they’re happy to be together. I believe they managed to somehow defeat the monsters or cut down their numbers but still overwhelming. Regardless they are both so heavily injured that they both collapse and are literally losing consciousness about to die. Keep in mind FL & ML all alone so miraculously as FL consciousness is fading soldiers arrive implying that they survived and that’s how it ends.
