i never understood this idea. is it wrong for me to critique a story? i didn’t even say this story was dogshit, all i commented on was how it’s weird the author added pedophile when the rest of the story was fine. also, you could have just disliked and moved on from my comment instead of replying. it seems something i said triggered you.
People are probably disliking because you said what was the reason for the sub plot at all you might not think it is necessary but other thinks it adds to the setting, dynamics, world building it's not just black and white nothing wrong with adding such dark topics to a story. Calling people these egregious things because they simply disagree with you is disgusting throwing around terms like that really brings down the serious topics to me.
it’s not that i have an issue with dark topics. i have an issue when they’re just brought in to the story and serve no purpose. what was the point of making the character underaged? did it add to the story? did it add to the world building? what’s the world? a world where pedophilia is normalized? was this a story about pedophilia and grooming? no, it wasn’t. it was just randomly mentioned and then never expanded
