The black people who said it's ok are just manipulated by how much they love this author to deny the racism. They are under spells . The author both fails in portraying accurate history events and is also racist. Cuz she could have made the ML say smth else when he enters, but the author deliberately decides to make him say "I'm your humble slave, master." JAXX decides to make the POC character refer to himself as a slave when slavery just ended. You can like JAXXs other stories no problem, I myself rlly like Walk On Water, but I don't think it'll be ok to support her after this one
white ppl don’t have to be just american or from europe, while it’s true that korea suffered from slavery just like most of the nations, black and brown ppl(ppl we describe as from middle east or south asia for example,) have more history from racism by skin color and that’s why korean author could not adress oppressed ppl’s suffering much healthily. we should not be always tolerant towards ppl, if they did something bad they should aware instead of being babyfied. and about the other black ppl; there is much majority of the community who are uneasy about it rightfully rather than who are okay with it
