In Chapter 1, the ML (who is the brown character) says “I am your humble slave, master” and it’s really weird and insensitive to have slavery be referenced as one of the first line for a brown character
Maybe because we’re not from that culture, but honestly i don’t understand neither. From what i red people are angry because it contains the argument of slavery from historical point of view. I’m not defending anything but i don’t understand why people are reacting to the point of bullying the author.
I understand that’s wrong but making all this fuss is not answering “what’s wrong with that?”. Censuring and cancelling works about an argument will stop people from understanding better their point of view.
Maybe the main problem is the “idolize the idea of black slavery”, or something like that, but i’ve not seen anything that suggests that while reading—
I saw a comment and i somehow agree (no offense to those who are from the same culture.) i mean its racism? Huh? Its showing the past? I mean maybe we can be knowledgeable more because of a manhwa tackling what happened back then its just on chap 1 how are we judging a manhwa with just 1 chap? Huh?
