Exactly! I'd understand if Dane knew about the things Grayson did to his brother but all the things Grayson has done so far in 'this' story is pretty tame, who knew asking if someone's an omega means you get to almost kill them.

It’s not that simple. There are two reasons: 1. Dane is a rare dominant omega. In this universe, they are hunted, kidnapped, and sold to wealthy families to serve as "baby factories"—exactly what happened to Angel (Keith’s father). Grayson is an alpha Dane doesn't trust, and he fears for his own safety should this information come to light. 2) He hates Grayson because their first meeting was a disaster. He doesn't know that Grayson was on the verge of being raped at that pheromone party; having arrived late, he only saw Grayson driving the twins to the brink of madness and assumed he was acting out of sadism rather than revenge. To make matters worse, subsequent impressions didn't help; he views Grayson as a dangerous, intrusive, and unhinged alpha. As we can see, the circumstances are unfavorable, yet Grayson keeps insisting on getting close to Dane. Being asked if he is an omega triggers his rage because he doesn't know what Grayson might do to him if that were confirmed.
