You're forgetting how he purposefully caused her a scandal by dancing with another girl and ignoring his fiance in front of everyone, making an imperial princess the object of public ridicule, all just so he could shift everyone's attention from his younger brother's precious new sword. in their past life he cuts off one of her limbs, leaves her to fight demons on her own, and I think he also pulls a bunch of other nasty shit. She also ended up staying with him cause she felt guilty cause he drank an evil potion (?) anyways this stuff only matters if you care about their past lives so I guess you could consider him not guilty since he didn’t do that stuff yet.
I do agree, he probably originally liked her and they have conflicting emotions because he’s never seen that much obsession come from anybody and I do know. He was young, but one who he got older. I have no idea why he didn’t think to look into why she’s like this and just assume because that’s why he did. He’s been given so much power and thought how to use it but that didn’t use it because he clearly liked her. So she felt like she was acting like this kind of. I don’t know why you didn’t look into it.
I mean he didn't really ignore his fiancee. Nor did he mean to make her an object of public ridicule. He was just creating a scandal to divert attention.
He is her official fiance, and he accepted her as his fiance, and then danced in front of everyone with another girl. Thinking that doesn't reflect bad on her his naive as ef. She is an imperial princess, in a feudal-monarchical country, so want it or not, every interaction he has with any other woman in plain sight of everyone reflects on her, and viceversa.

Am I the only one that wants them to be together? ML’s responses from the past were just justified as the original Titiana was acting obsessive. A realistic response to obsession is distant and uncomfortableness. It was also clearly stated that he was confused of his own feelings — wether it was a guilt or genuine care. Titiana is a daughter of their enemy, of course he would be distant to her despite feeling a subtle fondness of her. Not to further excuse his mistreatment to Titiana, but the original Titiana was indeed foolish and in a deep state of envy. They both wronged each other, but I also want them to find peace after all of the things they have been through.
