He’s definitely a "power bottom" in this situation, since he’s the one calling the shots; however, it seems like we’re seeing a dominant side of Nanjo with Mok in every aspect, not just the sexual one.
Mok used to do whatever he wanted with Nanjo—dictating when, where, and how they met—but now Nanjo is the one in control of Mok and the entire situation. He showed his dominant traits with Sunhaw too—wanting to look after him and the way he treated him—but Mok awakened a different side of him. That’s why he seemed so uncomfortable around Mok; he wanted to be the one doing the dominating, not the other way around. It’s not that Nanjo is doing this because he’s in love with Mok (though I know that will happen eventually, just not right now); this is him asserting his power over Mok. Or at least, that’s my interpretation of this chapter and his behavior. Will the relationship continue like this? I have no idea—the season is just getting started, and we’ve never had Nanjo’s POV, so I could be completely wrong. I’ll just have to wait and see how things unfold
I’m using the term "dom" rather than "power bottom" because I’m describing the overall attitude Nanjo is displaying toward Mok across every aspect of their relationship; he is asserting his power—and not just in a sexual sense (which is what would make him a power bottom). He is the one making the decisions in the relationship with Mok; ultimately, he is the one in control of Mok, unlike in the previous season, when Nanjo did whatever Mok wanted him to do.
That’s common in BDSM and definitely has nothing to do with love. Nanjo holds power in his everyday life at work and in the beginning of their relationship, he was the submissive one while Mok, who’s deemed inferior, was in the position of power sexually. Now the roles are reversed because Mok is in the submissive position due to self-reflection and Nanjo has taken up the slack by now being in a position of power.
I’ve had subs who were CEOs. As soon as we would meet, they didn’t want to make a single decision. It be like that sometimes. Though not the situation depicted in the comic but it runs along the same vein. D/s is nuanced and it’s fun exploring power dynamics.
Yes! That’s why I used the term "Dom" rather than "power bottom"; this chapter made me see Nanjo and Mok in a D/S dynamic that hadn't appeared in previous chapters. A D/S relationship doesn't always have to involve sex or whips—the D/S aspect can be present in any situation. I’d love to see a more dominant side of Nanjo and seeing them explore power dynamics

And that is how a dom bottom is born
