Usually, i record myself or place a mirror in front of me to make me feel conscious about it so i basically just study while thinking someone is watching me and i need to earn their approval.
Or maybe you can set yourself a time for like, 10 minutes study, take a rest for 5 minutes, study for another 15 minutes, rest again, and repeat it while slowly add more time for it
Look, start with a small goal and reward system. Like, study for one hour without distractions, and then reward yourself by reading your favourite manhwa. Start small and gradually increase your study time as your concentration improves. You can also try some focus-training games to improve your attention span. Just don't pressure yourself to change overnight. Build the habit slowly, and you'll get there(๑•ㅂ•)و✧
The thing is I get overwhelmed when I open a subject which is hard for me. Anxiety starts running all over me and bcuz of that i even don't study the subjects I'm good at. I somehow want to overcome that fear but idk how to. My brain goes completely blank the moment I start studying. So I distract myself with reading stuff and watching shows which isn't gonna work in any way ╥﹏╥. It was never this way (/TДT)/
Can Anyone advice me, I joined the journalism program in my school and as a totally begginer I feel so overwhelmed. Like I'm very concious to the outcome, I just started training and the final competition is in December, and I feel so pressured not because I was forced anything ( I volunteered) it's just I'm so afraid that the journ adviser of mine would be disappointed in me and they will think that the effort they had given me were worthless likeee huhuhuhu
here is the best advice i can guve off the top of my head with a 4.0 unweighted and still have time for yaoi (づ ̄ ³ ̄)づ
for tests / quizzes— 7-5-2 method! study 7 days before the test to refresh memory, 5 days before the test to allow your brain to lock it in, 2 days before to get everything u missed (study in 30-1 hour intervals)
notes— learning how to take notes is a MUST!!! i highly suggest looking into how to take cornell notes. If not cornell notes, look at other note styles that suit your taste! but once you find one that does, i highly suggest you write a 1-2 sentence summary of what you’ve tooken notes on to really lock it all in.
review / studying— in the afternoons, try going to noisy atmospheres (e.g cafes, parks, anywhere w people!) alternatives can be using youtube videos of background noise and gradually increase volume every 7 minutes. The brain works best under pressure and in noisy atmospheres to cancel out the noise and focus! Before bed, search up 4Hz audios to help your brain develop all the information. Look over a few flash cards, problems, or facts that you may need to have memorized. I use 4Hz specifically because it is the boundary of “Theta brainwaves” allowing the brain to subconsciously gather information without knowing when asleep.
i also highly highky HIGHLY recommend writing flashcards and trying your best to engage in every class. some teachers guve out more information in lectures than the notes cover so it’s always better for you to keep your ears out for that and not always rely on the notes posted.
do pomodoro 25 mins focus 5 mins break
join online study on discord so you can see others studying
think of all your opps and how they'd laugh at you failing in class
think of the future that you want
think about the expenses, if you're poor it would be expensive to re-enroll in class, if youre rich think of your parents disappointed face
if you don't do shit now, you won't be able to finish anything
delete all social media apps
once you finished studying reward yourself like a dog, do online shopping or buy expensive coffee
good luck. what worked for me is when i think about my bullies

Okay now I freaking need advices to lock tf in on my academics or I'm done fr
