Agreed. However, ch. 20 impressed me. This is getting resolved in a much more suiting and affirming way than some other stories I've read before with this annoying trope. The resolution also helped wrap up their resolve to stay a couple and also go for world in a decent way. We wont see the action part of the resolution till next chapter though.

Was hoping for something like My Partner's Tastes and Fetishes where everything is consensual and the dom is considerate toward his sub or at least Ang Ang, but I guess there's a reason why that kind of dom is so rare. I actually started to get sick of this webtoon. The plot is cool, I really love it, but I just can't stand the LIs anymore. Tbh they're all kind of a jerk except for Vinter, especially Derrick. I'm also fed up with Reynold mood swings. Sometimes he cared about her, sometimes he's a jerk to her, and sometimes he's just like my toddler nephew who whined whenever his mom or grandma's attention is divided from him. Callisto, well he's pretty fine after that first meeting, but I don't like how forceful he is, and he'a also kind of a jerk sometimes. And then there's Eclis, with his obsessive madness ass. I mean maybe because it's supposed to be an otome game that's why they're like that, but I just get annoyed.

The only fine men in this webtoon is only the Duke and Vinter, really. I know the Duke ignored Penelope before, but since he knew about the mistreatment toward her he truly felt guilty and try to make it up to her, he even apologize later. There's a time when she got framed for murder attempt, he (and Reynold) trusted her fully, he even scolded Derrick who refused to listen to her and told her to just admit it so the case would finish quickly. And Vinter, gosh, there's no end to his sweetness. I read the novel, but I stopped at some point because, well, just like what I stated at first. There's almost no character development except for the Duke. Vinter didn't appear much too I'm so sad.
64 chapters and it's still like clawing for anything. Like they always start off fast paced and then it drags

The father is the @$$ (not Eclise, yes I've read the spoilers. I'd much rather take someone who is only reacting to extreme conditions over someone who chooses to be ignorant any day of the week. I think, if anything, I'd be 's*****' to trust the latter). He's a Duke and as a Duke he should have known what's going on in his own household, especially in one that has no Lady to rule over it and especially when he, as an adult, should know the full consequences, of his choice to bring in a girl to replace his daughter, that will be felt by our FL from the maids to his *sons*.
Also to Queen: it started out slow and retained its pace, in the way she dealt with each event. The fact that the events up til now didn't come one after the other is a *good* thing. It helps develop the story instead of focusing on action like too many cliched stories already do to please the readers. It also gives the FL some breathing room while *also* highlighting just how dangerous exactly her situation is. And considering what the story is portraying, a person reincarnated into an otome game, I'd call it dull and boring if the author decided to increase the pace right off the bat, immediately veering away from the original format that the author initially wanted to portray.
Well, I'm not someone without mistakes either, so I'll forgive anyone who apologize for their mistakes and try hard to make up for it. And actually I can't really blame all of them for the things they did before the heroine enter the game. Tbh, the world is a setting created by the system, which stubbornly wants to make Penelope as miserable as possible, a background for her to be villainess. It's made with the intention to bring disadvantage to Penelope and kill her, seeing that once in the beginning, all the choices the game gave her are bad. None of the characters can do anything, just like Penelope who can't do anything when her body was taken over by the system, she can't even talk or act freely in the beginning. And them, being just a character in the game, doesn't even have any choice. I think that's why there's little character development for the LI's, since they're fixed to the character the system wants, so everything they do is kinda fixed too. But the Duke is different, he's just a mere supporting character, maybe that's why his character isn't as fixed as the LIs so his character grows along with the flow of the story. It's different from the novel isekai, since everyone of them can act freely and the MC can just change the future and that's it. In this webtoon, the world is too tightly bound by the game's system, where none of the characters is free, that's why Penelope struggles so much with the LIs' affection. Maybe someday they would be free from the system, however as far as I read they're still not.
The way this story is conveyed is as beautiful as the art, love it

I know Taehyun is the most decent person here but I still dislike how he forced himself on Minjae back at school when he clearly didn't want it. Jealousy can't justify it, and it's not even cheating since that's not the kind of relationship they had. Even it is, he still doesn't deserve it. For me, that act is no different with what that pervert lady used to do to Minjae. Because of that, no matter how kind he is after, I just can't like him.
It's actually a pity for the 1st cp. The story was so unique, it should be longer. I love the 2nd couple, but the author really wasted the 1st couple's potential.
