I swear manga from this time just hit different, I could always find one I was interested in reading and had unique stories or something that stood out from the rest, now it’s hard to find ones that don’t feel like the same copy and paste story formatting and bland characters. There are still great ones out there just harder to find,
I see a lot of people say she was right to cut off ash, but she is literally making the version of ash she wants to avoid. And as we’ve seen he holds grudges, so well he doesn’t really care who’s side he’s on she pushed him to any other side besides hers. Which seems like the wrong move as she knows how dangerous he is. And he is a main character in the original story so he is likely to come back.
I think it’s a lose-lose situation, either choice makes her vulnerable for Ash to betray her. If she chose to keep Ash then she runs the risk of being betrayed and risking her political career or worse, her life. Even if she treated him with love and respect, it’s hard to say that he could change since he is a victim of her nation, has ties to house babbs, and she could become paranoid at the thought of betrayal. She made the best choice considering she has no power so why would she risk getting betrayed as she begins gaining political power. But I do agree that she’s absolutely contributing to Ash becoming her enemy but who knows what she has planned
The emperor’s half hearted apology to his brother was laughably forced probably only done as to not look bad in front of the girls, then he basically said he didn’t care what happens to his brother and that he’d only look after linna or however you spell it. at least the uncle was somewhat apologetic when they talked. Just makes me mad when authors write side characters that should be as emotionally complex as the Mc if not more so then just everything’s just magically fixed after one conversation, like the brother should be way more mad that non of the adults actually changed their behavior they still favor linna and ignore him.
As the original story goes he isn't really a great person to begin with. I think he is gonna have some character development later on.
I think that’s consistent to his character though. Even when he said he’d look out for Liliana, there’s a panel where he had the thought “it’s according to the contract anyway.” While he isn’t a malicious person, he’s also ruthless and doesn’t particularly personally care as long as everything falls into place for him politically. He cares about Liliana getting treated well because that is Alice’s Achilles heel, the whole reason she agreed to political marriage in the first place. It’s not out of character for him to be careless with people’s feelings according to what we’ve seen so far.
Right, from what I gathered, it is a contract with his life on the line, with her brother. I think the mage has the same contract but I'm not sure who with, I also don't think he is okay with it, almost seemed like he was forced. While the crown prince seemed remorseful but not deeply. Almost like when someone gets caught, they say they are sorry but not actually sorry, only sorry they got caught kind of way... If that makes sense.
I think it’s since she likes the editor guy now, since jiah ran away he only stayed around her because he thought she would eventually come back. Obviously at first maybe but not now, so basically she thinks he’s hung around thus far because he wants to get jiah to start writing again, so the fiend thinks because he’s been trying to distance himself, she thinks if she can find and make jiah start writing again he’ll stay around, I do also think she wants the editor to say he likes her work over jiahs work but more so out of jealousy not insecurities, but the editor definitely got some feelings for the friend like come on just fucking talk to each other. I get your pov but jealousy automatically stems from a sense of inferiority. so weather it's an attempt to have the manager only think of her in a romantic sense or a professional sense, all these years later, she's very much still insecure when it comes to jiah.

This whole situation would not have happened if ether of them showed they loved him, like my god how did they raise the boy for him to think no one loves him. From the prologue, I believe they will address it because Edgar becomes glued to Marius and ends up being friends with Lily (although he calls her his subordinate)
I hope they both realize how much they failed him, or the girls beat some sense into them after they find out how he was raised. I will be so happy if they both get scolded by their girlfriends here’s to hoping it happens, ლ(´ڡ`ლ)
All the more reason not put all the blame gelt, he literally was most likely the least informed about anything that happened at home because he left when he was 5! I doubt the magic academy let him visit often and form what I interpreted form the moms disease was it was a more recent discovery, I mean she had 3 other children and was fine, and form gelts pov the Mc was born and everyone stopped caring about him. I mean no one contacted him until the mom died, people deal with grief vary differently and blaming others is vary normal so is being mad he probably just directed it to the Mc because then there’s actually something physical he can directly the blame, instead of accepting she would’ve died anyway. he was obviously vary attached to his mother and the trauma from being ripped away from his family didn’t help, he probably doesn’t have any coping skills of emotional support, but the dad and uncle insisted of seeing he’s just a hurting child that still has the emotional control of a 5 year old, obviously he shouldn’t be attacking anyone but both are the dads children it’s just crazy how dad and everyone else can’t see how emotionally stunted he is like be a parent comfort your child and the immediate cutting all contact just makes me believe no one besides the mom really ever made an effort in having a relationship with him. I don’t think anyone in his family actually blames Gelt, they want to free him from the academy and understand he’s being manipulated. His dad immediately went to talk to him and reason with him after he tried to kill Seig and decided he needed space from the rest of the family because he wasn’t getting through to him. I think maybe he thought his grandparents would have a better chance of talking to him and been able to give him the attention he needed. I don’t think they cut off contact on purpose. They seem to have been trying to contact him, Theo visited in person but Gelt was hidden and the academy refused any official visits.
I want the Mc to completely cut both the brother and the seme out of his life (maybe some contact with seme purely for the kid but vary limited) and get hella therapy. But I just know the second Mc finds out what actually happened, with the brother and that the seme likes him not his brother, he’ll be mad or sad for like one chapter then make up with both of them :/
I would marry this author if they brought another guy for MC.

Just because I’ve read so many manga like this, no communication between anyone involved until shit hits the fan, then usually Mc gets told the important stuff that for some reason everyone didn’t mention to them. The Mc might sulk or get mad for a chapter but usually they immediately make up. And there’s sometimes a afterword chapter where they make it seem like nothing was ever wrong
Why did they start the cake without her, like making the actual cake sure, but the decoration bruh she was probably the one most excited to to that part and the older siblings just seem to downplay any feelings of disappointment she has for not being included in things.

Plus it's not that deep in this situation because they made sure to still include her and save her her own part. If you're not the youngest, youre a middle child. So, yes, middle children are often overlooked. Youngest do get their wants catered to, but it's usually the parents. From experience, the siblings see us as exhasperating hahahah. They probably were working on a tight schedule and could not wait for her to wake up.
The heck she talking about comparing using makeup to the color of your eyes? Yes you can change how you look with makeup, but only so much does she forget that there’s no contacts in this world.
