Hmmm, the confession was somewhat unsatisfying. It just... happened.
The romantic development was what kept me still interested. It's a bit hard to be engaged with a political plot when the other side is cartoonishly stupid and evil. Which is very annoying, because the main villainess knows the heroine's weaknesses all too well but still doesn't target them at all after some mild provocation at the beginning.
Well, I guess it's too much to expect more from this kind of stories... Would be nice to witness a competent non-psycho threat for once though!
Well, I do happily eat it up because I like the MC (especially his design, lol), but the pacing is pretty funny. Since I'm not in the mood for serious reading, it gets a pass. Still, almost every plot turn (I can't even say "arc") transition is pure comedy.
We also are not given any real objectives, and just follow along with whatever the author comes up with. It also doesn't feel that the MC truly suffers from consequences of Deculaine's actions, everything solves itself conveniently, blablabla, I can go on and on, Deculaine pretty.
I don't know why you would call this manhwa calm because the chemistry is pretty intense. The chemistry IS the plot, haha.
Exploring inner turmoils of the characters was very enjoyable! Could it have better pacing, less awkward transitions and not so abrupt closing accords? Of course! Still, I had a great time reading it. I'm very grateful to the author who came up with it and wrote two whole persons into existence.
The art in the first chapters wasn't very promising, but I'm glad I've stayed. The setting, roles and decorations are the ones the seasoned reader of such genre would be used to, yet the main pair's dynamic is written decently well.
I wish it would be structured differently though. That 2-year period should have been explored in a greater detail. Giving multiple time-skips in the very first chapter was a choice, too.

Ahhhh the wait is unbearable
Does anyone know where to read raws?
