It was honestly so sweet, and I’m so glad the author gave us long side stories because they completely carried the manhwa. The main story itself was way too short, barely had any plot, and felt super rushed. It just skipped through everything to the point where you couldn’t even enjoy their romance—it was literally just pure smut.
But what really caught my attention is that Jiha seriously needs professional psychological help. Love alone is not enough to heal his trauma and deep-seated scars! Especially since he's famous and internet comments can be brutally heartless sometimes. Still, I’m so happy they got their happy ending and built a cute family, especially with Sarang there! (▰˘◡˘▰)
YES!!! I freaking knew it from the start!!
I’ve been waiting for the exact moment it’d be confirmed that Sangjun was the one who sent Yeonghyeon to take out Teach. I still vividly remember that line: “Boss, we should send a few guys back to the hideout to grab those supplies. WOULD YOU MIND LETTING JINWOO GO, TOO? WE’RE THE ONLY ONES WHO KNOW HOW TO GET THERE” the second Yeonghyeon showed up there with a gun trying to murder Teach, it all clicked. That venomous snake was the one who gave him the directions! He was aiming to get Jinwoo killed from the very start without tarnishing his own image in front of Guwon. But that red-headed dumbass completely ruined the plan by hitting the wrong target..no wonder he called him a “stupid bastard”!
My god, Jinwoo, you absolute fool, I need you to listen to Dr. Lim and stop trusting that sly snake Sangjun, or any of the Hounds for that matter!
And it really seems like he told Guwon that Teach was carrying the doc’s ring and planted seeds of doubt, making him think Teach wanted to kill him or turn on him just like the doctor did. That’s exactly why Guwon asked, “DO YOU WANT TO KILL ME TOO,
TEACH?”
The manhwa’s emotional side is literally so beautiful tho! I was honestly sat.
But fr, the plot realism is in the negatives. A lot of the events make zero sense and just feel forced for cheap shock value just to drag out the chapters!
Like, to this day, nobody gets why that sexual assault plotline was even thrown in. He literally crashed out and assaulted him for absolutely no reason! It’s not like he filmed it to blackmail him later, or to drive a wedge between him and Doyoung, or because he’s a closeted king with a secret crush! He didn't use it to show his dad and kick him out of the script entirely, he didn't threat-en him to make him comply, and he didn't even leak it to the public for the ultimate deplatforming at the end… Like, the man isn't even into men and couldn't care less about the MC sexually!
And why was he even trying to separate the main couple in the first place?! Was all of this just so he could marry Doyoung’s sister? Be fr right now, what kind of wattpad nonsense is this? No shade to the author, I'm not trying to anti, but this is honestly just pointless yapping.
Also, what was the deal with his brother? I still don’t get his purpose in the story. Was he part of the dirty game like his dad? He acts completely clueless, yet he's the next heir to the company. Even after everything went down, he was nowhere to be found for his brother, and they never even updated us on his whereabouts, his marriage, or anything later on. He just vanished into thin air.
It's just a bunch of overused, recycled tropes crammed into one single manhwa for no good reason! The whole thing started out as a lighthearted, cute comedy, and then boom; S1 ends in the middle of a random dramatic cliffhanger. Then S2 rolls around, and it turns into this totally overdone, clichéd plot about the 'overpowered lover' who is a super-genius always ten steps ahead, has insane aura and influence, is surrounded by the strongest allies, and is filthy rich! Not to mention the excessive NSFW content and smut. And of course, the love interest has infinite stamina and gets a brick from out of nowhere the second the MC is in his peripheral vision… as if the entire relationship revolves around sexual attraction…“When can I be inside you?” “How many rounds are we going?” Is that really all there is to love?
When are we gonna stop doing this, besties? Is it a crime to have a love interest who is just a normal human being?
But what’s seriously making me lose my mind is: why on earth did he assault him?! Like what is this, bro? Do we really have to force such a horrific crime into every single story as if it's a casual Tuesday, just to add spice to the plot?!
overall i enjoyed reading this ..and i love it
Okay let me give a response to some of the things you sent. The rape part with Hyeonwu Hyung was simply "I have to taste him too since he so freely gave someone he met weeks ago, while he's been pining for me half his life"
And I think they stated why he wanted them separated, Doyeong wasn't supposed to be in the equation, it was just supposed to be an obedient, love strung puppy who'd cling to his side and do whatever he wanted(Hyeonwu's thought), so he felt separating the two couples would make his plans efficient. Cause from the looks of it, no one listens or sides with the MC aside Lee Hyeonwu and now Doyeong.
And it's Yaoi, Dude has been wanting MC from chapter 1 when he found out he's gay, and busted his family jewels(well almost) and bam finally meeting him again, of course all those would pan up to those sex sex scenes(I skipped most of the chapters though) but it's understandable at the least why his craving for MC was high. And we also saw the romance part of the love, the protecting, the waiting, the I love you more than anyone else in the world.
Look, I totally get where you're coming from, and these points didn't escape me either. But the thing is, they just aren't logical or strong enough to justify it! Like, yeah, Wuju loved Hyeonwu his whole life, but this idiot played dumb the entire time! So why does he suddenly feel the need to 'taste' him now? The man isn't even into guys, so that excuse alone just doesn't hold up.
And yes, I understand that Doyoung getting involved completely threw a wrench into his plans, and that the MC's life no longer revolves around Hyeonwu, which messed up his original blueprint. Still, if you look at the bigger picture, the villain could’ve easily pulled off his entire scheme without putting the MC through all that trauma (especially the assault). If he had just set him up out of nowhere and injected him once, everything would’ve still gone exactly according to his plan!
Also, I’m not even really complaining about the amount of NSFW scenes. Let's be real, most yaoi manhwas nowadays are basically built around the smut, with the actual plot taking a backseat, and it makes sense for their dynamic. But at the end of the day, it's clearly just filler to grab attention, and nobody can deny that. Trust me, I'm not hating just to hate..I genuinely LOVED this manhwa and had a blast reading it! I loved alll the characters except for Hyeonwu and MC’s dad

SO EXCITED FOR THE ANIMATION
When is it coming out?
