I believe that Lucas (who was and still is the magician of he tower) told that fucking "uncle" he was worthless (as he should) and that Lucas couldn't sense any mana from him. this was when the previous king (Claude's father) took anastacius to the tower for evaluation or to request lessons or something.

It’s interesting to see what was going through Rebecca’s mind when she was still considered a ‘villainess.’ I can definitely tell that if she never met Sasha, she would not be the Rebecca we know and love, because she wouldn’t have gotten the chance for that development. This goes to show that no one is evil for no reason. (Almost no one. Rachel from TOG? Yeah fuck her. We got her side of the story and I still hate her.)
