Holy crap! My life has gotten ridiculously busy so I’m way behind on chapter updates. I’m finding I like it. Reading 9 chapters just now was incredible. How exciting was this?!? My heart rate was seriously going up every chapter. I felt like I was there, lol. I feel as exhausted as our characters. To the author/artist, THANK YOU for such an amazing ride.
We know that hakkab prince made a plan with the other prince. He puts that necklace, which Ric knows of its meaning, around Roselyn’s neck and took hers. I’m wondering, if in his country, this type of exchange means acceptance of a proposal. If so, will the other prince announce their engagement at an upcoming banquet? I know I’m reaching, but the way he he put it around her neck and quickly took hers, has me worried. Plus the way Ric noticed it to be Habakan (or whatever) and then looked more closely and thought there’s no way Roselyn can know what this means. I’m so curious.
I just caught up on a bunch of chapters. That scene of ml taking her to the field and trees filled with purple was one of the most romantic I’ve ever read. The way he wanted to know all about her daughter and she would be considered their first child. He said when they had a child together, that would be their second child…….holy crap, beautiful! On that note…..
Did I forget something? He mentioned that she could see now why he loved her painting and he held her close to his heart since he saw it. He also said something like, there are many other things I can tell you, but for now….yada yada yada. Was something explained earlier that I forgot? He’s a great wizard. Her daughter was a great wizard. Could they have done this together? Or at least had known each other in the first life, became her mentor and confided to her about his love?
I’m seeing three schools of thought in the comments.
1. Ariel is after the king and tried to kill Abigail.
2. Ariel is after Abigail in a romantic way
3. Ariel is a fan and trying to speed up the main couple’s romance
I’m leaning towards the first theory. If Ariel was trying to speed up their romance, she’d of had to foresee the king jumping in the water. AND that’s on a slim chance that Abigail would’ve been seen at all in those rough waters. Of course, Ariel could’ve yelled “Man overboard” and assumed the king would jump in.
I was thinking Ariel fell in love with a young ml when they were both children. They may have been friends and after his trauma he forgot. When she said “Found you”, the panel before that was a close up of the king. I think she meant to kill Abigail, use her song to sink the ship and take the king. However, the huge plot hole there is why save them both?
Things to think about….how could she know about their relationship? Did she know Abigail and/or Sable from childhood? If so, did she know of both their tragic upbringing, become a fan and wants to help them? If she has romantic feelings for Abigail, why save them both?
Anyway, this is going to be fun! This is the first story since our 2 year comment section exile that I’ve seen so much participation, theories and so many just really enjoying trading ideas and having a good time with the story. Can’t wait to see where this goes
SPOILERS!!!!
The mermaid’s in love with Abigail lmaooo. She fell for Abigail the moment she saw her, and has been in love since. I think she tried to use the opportunity to take Abigail with her but failed bc of Sable jumping in after her. Abigail actually misunderstands the mermaid, and thinks she’s after Sable, bur really, the mermaid was always eying Abigail. Abigail misunderstood, bc she was always with Sable whenever the mermaid would profess her love, thinking it was for Sable but it was actually for HER lol. I’m pretty the mermaid tired very hard to convince Abigail to live with her in her kingdom lol. Also, Abigail gets kissed by the mermaid, which shocks Sable very much since I’m pretty sure he still hasn’t kissed Abigail on the lips during that scene (correct me if I’m wrong, it’s been a while since I’ve seen the spoilers) also, the mermaid ends up with Karen, the blonde girl with green eyes at the end:)
I can’t believe I lasted this long. This story had such a great start. But now it feels like some kids putting on a play with a script they wrote themselves.
ML: I can’t imagine anyone in the palace or the nobility having any faith in him. He’s weak and pathetic. At his age he didn’t have enough courage to stand up to daddy about his marriage? So we go through a bunch of ridiculous tasks that felt like a reality show. The guy constantly passes out from working too hard. Learn to delegate or leave.
FL: Again, it’s like kids are writing these lines. Her conversation with the knight in Ch 91 had me shaking my head and giggling. Apparently she’s an experienced military strategist and the knight decides, rather than discuss her childish ideas with the king, he’ll just bow down to her every whim.
Isabella: So, this complete lunatic was locked up by her family. She had ZERO power. She disgraced herself and her family. Nobles who helped with their ridiculous schemes were ruined. Yet somehow this little insane girl takes over her house. All the servants, family knights, nobility and commoners follow her like she’s Joan of Arc, instead of the obvious nut job that she is. YES! Let’s all put our lives in her hands. Kill my sister because she’s a witch. This has nothing to do with me being spurned. If the king won’t marry me, we’ll kill him, too. This crazy kid has managed to raise an army powerful enough to challenge a kingdom’s army?!?
I don’t know why I stuck with this so long. It’s like watching a train wreck…..horrible to look at, but too unbelievable to turn away. Well, chapters 90 and 91 snapped me back to reality and I’m finally turning away. Sorry this so long, just had to get this out there before I left.
