Idk what it was about the story but I just couldn’t get into it… the art is gorgeous and the plot seemed promising, but I think maybe the dialogue was too unnatural. The narration dragged on the plot and the dialogue felt more like a badly written screenplay than an actual conversation.
“he has ptsd” so mental illnesses don’t excuse abuse and rape, I hope you’re aware of that. Also, the scene was random and unnecessary, which sucks, since the story was going so well too :/
Plot twists being reveled in side stories always annoyed me—this is main story information!! ALSO, it made 0 sense!! If it was pre planned that he’s a double agent and not an actual gangster, the author would have added that into the main plot. Then, the bottoms biggest issue with his work was his doing something immoral, so him actually being a double agent defeats this whole argument. This could have been cleared up so quickly but for some reason it was dragged on and on (ever after he quit the job he didn’t come clean about him not being a gangster…??? like WHY)
I did see someone mention that this should have stayed on the island the whole time and I 10000% agree. The story was sooo good on the island but once season 2 started it went down hill and got boring quickly
It was wrong of the uke to suggest the seme see other guys buttttttt I wish the seme understood it was coming from a place of fear and not actually do it. Also I HATE when someone sleeps with another person and uses the “was thinking about you the whole time” like that’s super disrespectful to the person ur sleeping with and also weird, maybe don’t sleep with someone if you know you don’t want to..?
It was really good at first but I feel like it started to drag a bit mid Volume 3 and I felt myself getting bored
for a story with such beautiful art, characters, and story telling…. we really could have found a different plot line than pedophillia. And most disappointing is how it’s keeps coming back again and again. Two volumes of grooming that has no resolution and worst of all, no consequences for the perpetrator. Volume 3 was beautiful and I wish the earlier volumes erased that plot line and focused solely on the dance/relationship.
PS- I would have had no issues with using grooming as a plot line IF there was some sort of consequence or at least not showed in such a “heart broken” fashion.
Was extremely disappointed to see how the adult/teacher was shown as a heartbroken man who seemed to “lose” in this “love triangle.”

don’t know if others noticed but this version has a plane in chapter 1 but the English title version has a boat instead (which honestly makes 100x more sense considering they have no other advanced technology)
