I cried, laughed, smiled, and felt every emotion possible. Ima need to request the modern continuation, I need to see them living a care-free happy life together.
Don’t even know how to review this story… it’s raw and it doesn’t sugarcoat its tragedy. It’s a story about survival—t’s bittersweet, it’s heavy, and it’s very much real. Go into it expecting heavy topics and seeing the worst of humanity. How far people would go for survival and how we define “good” and “evil”
My singular issue with the story was how some characters who commit rape or extortion were seen as “the bad guys”, while some who committed the same crimes were seen as more morally ambiguous and given the freedom to grow. In my opinion there is NEVER any growth for certain crimes, the story does challenge that, but it does not excuse the crimes themselves.
Lowkey don’t vibe with the MC. Breaking up with ur bf over text like that AND running out/ghosting him after having sex for the first time because you didn’t like how he had a small dick is fucked. Then he keeps preaching about wanting a bf but never mentions anything about a personality, he’s main concern is if they have a “big dick” or not. Buddy what you want is sex not a relationship!! Some might find it funny, I find it frustratingly immature when adult characters act like teenagers who can’t make decisions yet. idk if I should just drop or continue and see what happens — have seen some comments about how the MC lacks communication so idk if it does get any better. Also, the casual non-con wasn’t it either.

Idk what it was about the story but I just couldn’t get into it… the art is gorgeous and the plot seemed promising, but I think maybe the dialogue was too unnatural. The narration dragged on the plot and the dialogue felt more like a badly written screenplay than an actual conversation.
“he has ptsd” so mental illnesses don’t excuse abuse and rape, I hope you’re aware of that. Also, the scene was random and unnecessary, which sucks, since the story was going so well too :/
Plot twists being reveled in side stories always annoyed me—this is main story information!! ALSO, it made 0 sense!! If it was pre planned that he’s a double agent and not an actual gangster, the author would have added that into the main plot. Then, the bottoms biggest issue with his work was his doing something immoral, so him actually being a double agent defeats this whole argument. This could have been cleared up so quickly but for some reason it was dragged on and on (ever after he quit the job he didn’t come clean about him not being a gangster…??? like WHY)
I did see someone mention that this should have stayed on the island the whole time and I 10000% agree. The story was sooo good on the island but once season 2 started it went down hill and got boring quickly
started off strong, but he lowkey had way more chemistry and build-up with the second ML. Feel like the mc and ml relationship was confusing and too quick then slow then randomly quick again.
