Idk, but I have a theory his adoptive parents' deaths had something to do with Suryeon. Perhaps Yeonwoo purposely infiltrated the Lee household to find evidence against Suryeon, so he pretends to be docile. So here’s my take on the end of chapter 25: it almost gives off the vibe of,”why are you doing this to me? Why can’t you just let me be happy and stop trying to ruin my life! I thought you liked me! So why are you trying to make things hard for me?” Yeonwoo almost seems pleading for her to just stop trying to get him to sleep with her! I think he’s trying to redraw and reinforce that line between them! He chose to do oral instead as a sort of “exchange” so that she’ll be at least satisfied with something from him. Maybe Suryeon has a firm grip on Yeonwoo that has him wanting to keep pushing for that “perfect,” “happy” family! Rosa did look pretty shock at the end. I can imagining her getting mad at him the next chapter and acting out again because of it! Also, Suryeon does care if Yeonwoo aggravates Rosa too much! So I can see that boding well for him when that happens! I know this may be mean but he just keeps making these mistakes that are getting him in deeper trouble! He’s in monster infested water here! He’s barely seeing what’s hidden underneath!

People on TikTok were calling the ml disgusting and cheering for the 2nd ml which made me curios making me read it. Tell me why the ml not only is the biggest victim in the story but is literally the most interesting part of the story???? Like why are people shitting on him even after getting all of that backstory about him being whored out against his will cause he’s in debt?
In contrast, the 2nd ml is your typical hot rich playboy ml you can find it plenty other manhwa. The ml feels like an interesting play on dynamics. He takes the more typical fl role in dark romances while she seems to take the red/ black flag ml role . Which is refreshing to see (not excusing her actions she’s just as guilty as those red flag mls).

Been awhile since I read and decided catch up and honestly everything is quite anticlimactic. It feels like the gang situation was not even necessary anymore and just took away too much time from actual development for the characters and im not liking that the ones who took part of violence are getting an easy way out while others, like Toby miscarriage, are the one's taking the hit (consequences?). Also noticed the chapters are quite short with unnecessary amount of cliffhangers which I would say take aways the excitement when you have wait 10 days.
The only good thing I see are some symbolisms and foils of each ml when with Ian, the MC. Oh and how fate collides between each character, one feels natural because they follow their instinct while the other feels artificial, forced upon with only one guiding (controlling) it
Spoon dislike for Lucas is astonishing lol I applaud her hater side. But im glad she focus on Athy growth in the main story and made it much better by not focusing on romance (especially as the novel is under plaragrism).
