i tried… the chapters are short which is annoying. also i think my expectation v reality is what did it for me. don’t get me wrong, it’s not bad… but if you approach it thinking it will primarily be about the mc… you’re going to be disappointed. it’s a lot of world building and auxiliary character stories.
WHAT ELSE DID HE SAY?!? I CANT TAKENTHIS ANYMOREEE PLEASEEE (╯°Д °)╯╧╧
i’ll be honest… i never quite get mc’s like this. they’re okay with living a shitty life by being taken advantage of and controlled by their family, being harassed and threatened by gangsters, having to be dead ass below the poverty line… but then when someone comes along (not approving MLs behavior btw), and does the same things by being controlling BUT it actually benefits them and doesn’t make their life worse… they hate it? so they only want to be threatened and controlled when it causes their life pain, but when it doesn’t cause their life pain they go “hmmm sorry not for me”???? the illusion of freedom mc’s like him have always grate me. he was never really free when he was running from loan sharks, when his family pushed everything into him and still asked him for more, when he was working multiple jobs and couldn’t eat. and now he’s complaining that he’s not free because he no longer has to struggle…. oy vey.
and just to say it twice, i’m not approving ML’s behavior, I’m just criticizing the inconsistencies in MC’s logic.
i don’t get why this is rated so low?? it was good. it was different. read it.
Give me all the 200+ chapter manhwa’s that are action based. PLEASE. i need to binge and get unhealthy.
every single chapter i’m holding my breath from second hand embarrassment. also, ridiculously short chapter ( ̄へ ̄)
I saw a comment (from AstroBoi) here about Dohyun’s feelings for Yoonwoo (Omega Complex) being downplayed in this manhwa, and I completely agree.
It seems author wanted to avoid making Dohyun too unlikable, and making the relationship too unfair for Wooyeon, that they decided to downplay Dohyun’s supposed “like” for Yoonwoo (his senior) as a mere misinterpreted “like” or “fleeting crush”. But reading Omega Complex, I beg to differ.
Dohyun pursued Yoonwoo relentlessly, if it weren’t for Yoonwoo insisting and convincing Dohyun to run after Wooyeon, he never would’ve followed the poor boy. Dohyun saying that his “like” for Yoonwoo was a mere “fleeting crush” is so uncharacteristically projected. If by chance Yoonwo reciprocated Dohyun’s feelings (regardless whether the feeling was mutual or not), Wooyeon never would’ve stood a chance.
I really want the author to dig deeper into that unspoken emotion in an “unrequited love.” Just let the characters be HONEST, especially Dohyun.
The reason I feel certain dissatisfactions for Dohyun’s character stems from the lack of honesty. He spoke about his “like” for Yoonwoo as if it wasn’t serious, but he tried to kiss Yoonwoo and pursued the omega with the intent to be in a SERIOUS relationship. The kind of intent that I don’t see him having for Wooyeon.
Remember, that so far, it was always Wooyeon who relentlessly pursued Dohyun. I do understand that Dohyun is being careful not to overstep as Wooyeon is a virgin and all, but the lack of effort on his side is what makes it so unfair and just pitiful for Wooyeon.
In Omega Complex, he was so dead set into pursuing Yoonwoo, but here, he’s so tamed and barely exerted any effort to pursue Wooyeon. Hence the multitude of secondhand embarrassment that I got for seeing Wooyeon (my pookie) trying his best to pursue his Teacher…
I hope they talk about this.
Because even now, with the long anticipated sex scene. I still don’t feel the love from Dohyun.
It just seems like Wooyeon is being used as a replacement for Yoonwoo.
Or, a “convenient” option…
I know at some point this analogy is wrong, but that’s the feeling that I get from Dohyun.
Love can often stem from disingenuous feelings.
Sometimes that’s how strong relationships start. It doesn’t always have to be MUTUAL at first, but i can become REAL eventually.
I just hope author made Dohyun more honest.
“I didn’t like you before, but as I spend more time with you, my feelings grew.” typa shit.
Regardless, Dohyun’s so fucking hot so to hell with my analysis ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
don’t mind me, just dropping in to see all your angst. i’m not reading this anymore (dropped like 50 chapters ago) but your comments make me laugh ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭ good luck everyone!!
i just reread omega complex since it’s been awhile… and idk why the ml is downplaying how much he had a crush on his senior. like… it wasn’t just a fleeting thing. he tried over and over and over again to get with him (and not just because he wasn’t used to getting rejected). idk if the author is playing it down to enhance this story, but it feels weird ( ̄へ ̄)
at first i liked this, but the MC is truly insufferable. he lies all the time because he’s a bitch and can’t tell the truth or do confrontation to save his life. i completed it out of spite, but i would never re-read it
Does anyone have a list for ratings 9.5 or higher?
i don’t care what genre, any and all reads that pretty much everyone agrees is good kind of list.
can someone tell
me how the grandmother opened a foundation for her grandson… but he still wound up growing up in an orphanage. what did i miss
this is one of those series that i’m actually surprised it’s gone on as long as it has. this could’ve been condensed to 50 chapters. good smut, but still.
pretty art. no tension building, pacing is weird, needs a better editor as a whole. good idea, poor execution.
i feel like i must have missed a chapter somewhere… since when were they on good terms again? i know they agreed to have sex. but before it was very transactional?
maybe it’s been awhile for me… but since when did literally all the characters look so much alike
