I read the Shounen Ai- Here U Are
I binge read this story and after reading the side stories, the side story titled: Strained relationship pt 1 and 2.
It says they both lost enthusiasm in their relationship but still love each other. It saddens me. ML seems less enthusiastic compared to MC, work can cause issues yes. ML seems a bit more robotic and MC seems the same as before except both matured.
I know relationship isn’t about excitement, it’s about love for each other and they both still love each other which is good.
I just want to know from someone w experience. Is it common to lose enthusiasm in relationships? Why do you lose enthusiasm? Is it cause you’re so used to being with them that you’re comfortable?
Personally, yes I have lost enthusiasm in relationships; friendships, love life, etc. It mostly causes certain parts of a person's personality/interests to change over time, plus it gets repetitive to talk about the same topic over and over. Al In romantic relationships, you find qualities you dislike that really show through after being in a relationship for so long. Though if you really like that person you could probably get over it. And for the last question yes; I had a friend that I told everything to and was basically the only person I was close with (dated a bit) but over time we stopped talking, we lost interest in our relationship. Mostly cause we were that close we felt uncomfortable, cause we didn't step boundaries per say. I guess we're close but I haven't had a real conversation in like a month or so eh

I personally don’t ever want to lose enthusiasm in my relationship but change is inevitable :,)
Anyone highly empathetic? If so, when you read toxic/psychological BL stories, do you feel all the emotions or feel extremely sad?
My brain likes reading psychological stories but my empathy causes me to feel very emotional to the point I feel drained/stressed for at least 2-4 days depending on the BL, the emotions I feel weighs on me, I lack motivation to do anything during my wtf moments.
I lose appetite and would usually eat small snacks.
If you’re an empathetic person that can read properly without taking all the emotions in, how do you control that?
A way i dont take the emotions in is by understanding that its just fiction. The person youre reading about isnt real, theyre just drawings and words put together to form a story. Next time youre reading that genre, remind urself its not real. Not sure if itll work for u but give it a try. :)
It’s difficult for me to separate fiction and reality, my emotions overwhelm my thinking focus. It’s good for you that you can do that. Maybe I’ll practice trying, telling myself it’s just fiction…

Wow. Same. For me, i just enjoy it, go with the flow and learn. I really like this genre, it makes me think more about the situations theyre in. By the time I read another one, kinda amuse me when I totally understand whats happening and then became used to it. But maybe except for the secondhand embarassment, if there is. Lol

Yes oh gosh the second when embarrassment effects me a lot, I have to either throw my phone across the room or close my eyes and sleep until I’m prepared.
I think it was in webtoon or also here but I’m trying to find a webtoon where the MC is genderless, MC has a male friend and a female friend. The male friend wants MC to be a female, the female friend wants MC to be a male because both like MC.
