Idk how to describe it but I still don’t like chayoung or whatever his name is, something about him just feels off. Also I’m pretty sure a lot of the sex they had was essentially non-con. Throughout the story, I just felt bad for the mc like his parents don’t really care about him on a personal level and his friends are kinda bad for him besides the married one. Also the story is not fleshed out at all, like you never meet the ml’s parents and you don’t see the marriage or when the mc went into labor. It seems like the author cut out a lot of the more interesting parts in favor or sex scenes, which while binge reading, became really repetitive and born (so I often skipped them). I kept trying to find a sliver of the plot but it honestly never existed in the first place. It’s an ok read for some brainless smut but it’s got nothing new to it. Plus, the way women are drawn in this seems weird for some reason? Like their heads are too big for their bodies or their shoulders/necks are too small.
This is not what the fans want to see. Sub/dom play is literally based upon mutual trust, this is just subpar rape/assault play with a subserve tag tacked on. Why can’t consent just be a given. Plus why is this prison warden just taking out his childhood trauma on prisoners by attempting to abuse them like bro.
I'm so glad someone else said this. The whole refusal to a safe word p*ssed me off so much. Like they both need to have their own safe words they chose themselves for multiple reasons to include safety. This entire story was just either of them doing whatever they want regardless of the others feelings. And the fact that the MC was so traumatized (not that it's ok) to the point of taking it out on his surroundings as he did makes it even more crazy that he just got over it so easily cus "ah, feel good"
Damn straight! Like we *want* intense playscenes as much as these authors seem to want to write/draw them! But only when things follow the Safe Sane & Consensual (SSC) rules of thumb here!
No Boundary Talks? = Not Safe, arguably not Sane, & easy for lines blurred regarding Consent.
No Safeword? = Not Safe NOR Sane
*IGNORING* & REJECTING Safewords? = Wildly not Safe, insanely not Sane, & 100% disregarding the most important boundry that can protect our ability to revoke Consent during play *by ALL parties!*
In my opinion, saying no to a safeword is the same as saying no to the idea of revoking consent, & that boundaries are just suggestions. After we boil everything down, this whole story is just a poorly executed sadistic rape fantasy. I'm not even here to kinkshame that kinda thing btw! 1) While not my cup of tea, you can do rape fantasies safely with planning/full consent for the scene, & 2) Bc I'd be a damn hypocrite given I'm an actual submissive with kinks of my own lol ╮( ̄▽ ̄")╭ I am however unimpressed with how this "rape disguised as not rape" turned out. No attention to integral details like safewords or planning in the tiniest of convos, few existing "boundaries" (saying that loosely) were often overstepped, and there certainly no aftercare. What a headache of a mess (—_ლ)
Can someone just spoil me at this point
Honestly. It’s sad.

Eventually, wizard-bae reveals that he’s in the area and is going to attempt to break Slan out. In the meantime, he has the little boy deliver Slan’s new medicine, one that helps him regain his thoughts and control of his body, all while Lister is putting his gross hands all over him. Eventually, wizard-bae and Slan attempt their escape but are noticed quickly, and Lister yells for Slan, who sees that the guard who looked out for him the most has been thrown from the castle walls and Lister has the bald old man at sword-point. Slan does his best to ignore him, but turns to see that Lister has killed the old man and the little boy who helped him. Basically everyone who served him there. Wizard-bae does his best to console him until their horse can no longer travel. But since Lister’s men are close, wizard-bae tells Slan to run while he stays to fight off Lister’s men.

It hits hard because he was always with us. He wasn’t just randomly introduced at Glensburg. And, honestly, I didn’t think Lister was anything but a bratty perv, and I hated Lisbeth more—but since she died, everything she controlled about Lister is escaping, and it’s darker than I imagined.
I hope daddy doesn’t kill him, but Slan, and I hope it’s horrible.

Just died and went to heaven
