ヽ(`Д´)ノ
i had a chock-full of list of them. anyone feel free to subscribe for updates http://www.mangago.me/home/mangalist/22922/
The plot feels lost now….i was so excited for him to save the sect and teach his disciples but he is keeping everything to himself, doesn’t share the medicine or whatever those little balls are. And every battle is just him battling and everyone else watching from the sidelines. Even with the big water snake they didn’t try any other thing the others could’ve collected the flowers when he was fighting and distracting it…..and it was that easy. Or at least if that wasn’t possible they should’ve gave a reason why. Instead they all wait around mindlessly thinking “yeah chung mung will handle it lets just wait” his sect is dying again because he hasn’t changed at all and he is still a one man army with some side characters
Lost? You can't call the plot 'lost' when we're only around chapter 230 out of a 1,600+ chapter novel and its still on going. That’s a massive gap. If you’re expecting him to step up and save the sect this early, keep dreaming. That moment is easily a thousand chapters away
He literally can't share those pills. It’s not just about keeping secrets. He barely survives managing that inner energy himself to keep from exploding. He even mentioned that his past self couldn't handle swallowing those three pills at the same time. Only his current self can manage it because of his pure energy and skills. If he gave those poison elixirs to the other disciples, they would just straight-up die
Are you new here ?
I didn’t read the novel but im not saying he should step up and save it fully. I’m saying his plan to save it was by teaching the disciples and to not repeat his past mistakes in his past life where he acted like a one man army. And it seems the same with the last few arcs. He is still just a one man army. Tell me why they didn’t even think about working together to take the flowers from the snake? It could all have been done when he was distracting it but they didn’t even think about that. It just seemed like a convenient excuse to take the pill and upgrade when there was clearly an easier solution. Or at least they should’ve explained why it couldn’t be done that way. Or another way or anything.
Nope been here since 2016 and read too many mangas
Okay but he can’t teach them other skills or anything? He was teaching them in the sect for a long time and they all improved but now its all over? Even on their journey they should bond more but instead they aren’t. He handles everything secretly by himself. His main concern when he first came back from his past life was that he acted all alone and selfish in the past and he wanted to change, but he isn’t showing that same concern anymore
One of the disciples says the same himself in chapter 159 about how they all think “chung myung is here so it will all turn out well” and then he reprimands himself to be better. So I thought we would see a change in this fight. But the last time they trained (actually trained and got beaten up and upgraded) was almost 40 chapters ago. The pacing feels too slow now especially if there are more than 1600+ novel chapters to go through……the plot may not be lost but it’s lost in its own pacing especially with how late we get new chapters…im not saying it should move faster but how many panels of a white animal angry and attacking do you need to get the joke that it senses chung myung’s power and gets scared and docile? Its also how the other disciples are talking to each other and getting closer sharing their past and their personal ethics and rules and life while chung myung has drawn this clear line with all the jokes to not be sincere. To never really open up or rely on them because he doesn’t need to and he will never need to. And that’s what ruined mount hua sect in the past. I hope he grows and changes but if that happens in chapter 1000 then welp i guess i wont read that far maybe oops
I think him fighting that damn snake alone was the right move. You mean u want them to get it while he was distracting the snake? But his plan was better. He defeated it. Plus this works better than them fighting it together. They cant do it all. Those 4 is still weak af if u ask me. But i do agree. Most of the time the author makes Chung Myung carry them. We barely see him teaching techniques. But this approach makes it faster for him to power up. He did say he needs to get strong fast. Plus he really cant share some of the techniques that easily. Its questionable, might as well keep things secret.
I get what you mean. You want them all to work together. But honestly I think we're already seeing that shift happen. Baek Cheon and the others are realizing they can't rely solely on Chung Myung, while, Chung Myung is still in the process of learning that his juniors need to be able to survive without him.
He is trying, though. there are times he purposefully steps back to let his juniors handle things. I completely agree that it would be amazing to see them all fight as a cohesive unit in a major battle. But right now, Chung Myung is just so far above their level that they don't even see a need to step in. Plus, he handles a lot of things secretly.. which makes sense, because it would be highly questionable if they found out he knows things
What I want to see is the adults working .. besides Chung Myung. They are written so unreliable and weak.
He did defeat it but he didn’t kill it, he didn’t take the core because he saw the snake was a mother and had children. So if there was no need to kill it from the beginning then the snake was already distracted when he first attacked it. The others didn’t have to attack but they could have just swooped in and took some flowers. They are also martial artists so they could have done it very fast. Its small stuff like this that make it seem like he is still the same. The other characters have their own personalities and feelings (or at least they should have it to be a deeper character that cant be written off so fast) I know he needs to get stronger faster. But wouldn’t he be stronger if he had more of an emotional connection to his disciples (whom I think should become friends and brothers a closer bond) and he had more to protect? Its fun to read he is funny and charming and lying and all that but I thought he would have learned more from his past life? Or how he is so overpowered even though this body belongs to a poor little child from nowhere, not a martial arts family. Just things like that
Hah? They did swoop in and took the flowers while he was fighting the snake UNDER WATER. what r u reading mam?
Mam/si
Nah he is doing fine. OP, Cunning, Violent and funny. I like it. Kinda reminds me of Lloyd
Just because they don’t show it doesn’t mean Chung myung isn’t helping them get better. What do you want? 50 chapters of Chung myung sparring with each and every one of them?
He’s already shown them the way, by showing off what they will have to learn in the future. Each time he fights someone, he tells them to pay close attention. Each time, his comrades learn how to bloom plum blossoms.
Even on the way to yuunan, he was helping them by beating them up/hitting their meridians so they can absorb the pills faster.
Also, he took the pills because he needed to for that situation, so they can create more pills in the future. They will get more later. Not to mention, THEY’RE STILL DIGESTING THE PILLS THEY TOOK MONTHS AGO?? That’s why Chung myung was beating them up in the first place. It would make no sense for him to give them the pills right now when he could use them to help the sect by getting strong enough to pave a way for a steady supply of the flowers.
He has shared a lot. He has taught them a lot. Right now, he just needs time for everybody to get to his level. Chung myung is their protector so they can get stronger. Otherwise, the other sects or enemies would nip this growth in the bud. They all can’t become top tier martial artists instantly.
The only reason Chung myung is so strong so quickly is because of his past experiences and skill with the sword. He was always a genius, since his past life as well. He also has the most drive to train more than anyone, which we won’t see since that would be a boring story obviously(like 50 panels of him meditating??) the first chapters were literally about him building a steady foundation that would be perfect for martial arts
Honestly, I’m wondering if you even actually read the story? Maybe it’s a time dilation issue, if you’re reading it chapter by new chapter, so you forget what’s happened like 5 chapters before. I just reread the whole series again recently so I know for a fact that he has been doing what he needs to, to revive the sect.
Chung myung is forging a path for his fellow sect members. He’s giving them the freedom to train and grow, safe from dangers. He often lets them fight and gain experience when they can, and will step in when he knows they won’t win. He shows them what they have to achieve to get to his level, giving them a visual goal. And again, many of them are reaching new heights, making their own plum blossom’s bloom!!
"One Man Army"? You should read the webtoon from the start and maybe try reading the novel. I think other people already explained it but let me just share my piece...
1. You shouldn't set aside the other 4 members with him now (and other characters really) just because Chungmyung fights the most and usually the strongest enemy/monster. They have their own part of the story, they also move the plot. They're not just there to add characters. And if you didn't notice, not all decision were made by Chungmyung. He respects authority, so he stops, and listen, and obey his seniors. He's loud so we almost only remembers his side. So there's your council for the army.
2. He teaches the sect. He just can't teach them all because there are steps in martial arts. Also, I'm sure, even of Chungmyung is a genius, he didn't learn all his techniques in 2 years. PLUS he can't teach them the higher techniques because he will be question where he learned it. He needs to "find" the "lost" martial art books of the sect first, so yeah give him time. And the manhwa cannot show all the teaching parts. It will tak 10 years for the manhwa to finish if it does XD Also didn't you see the improvement of the members? They just improve in differenr paces because they are different people. ╥﹏╥
3. The collecting flower part, I questioned it too. Why didn't they collect it the moment Chungmyung fought the snake? There's no perfect story with no plot hole XD but I just thought that maybe the snake was to unpredictable. The snake might slam it's body against the flower so the group is being cautious.
That's my thoughts about your concern. If yoi have more questions, feel free to reply and I hope you can still enjoy the story because this story is one of a kind (◕ᴗ◕✿)
Also to end, the novel has this poetic vibes that the manhwa cannot show, espcially the fight scenes so I hope you give it a try ヾ(❀╹◡╹)ノ~
Ahh I forgot about the "lost plot" part. It's not lost. All chungmyung is doing is rebuilding his sect.
He needs to make them stronger get the the former glory.
-teach sect technique
-earn money (coz sect won't improve without)
┗ didn't he build a partnership with a merchant guild?
-forge friendship
┗now he is friends with other sect. No man is an island yk?
Next is he needs to show the world that Mount Hua Sect is back because other sect are still being dismissive about them. What he did before in the first season was long forgotten and maybe became a rumor. So spoliers spoilers, can't wait for the next arc ლ(´ڡ`ლ)
Dude?? Are you sure you're following this manhwa from the beginning? He does help the sect, remember when he opened the secret storage to get all that something book that contains their sect financial reports. He also write all the techniques he knows but pretend that was their elders(yeah i don't know i write here).
As for the pills from Tang family, ey ey ey that all were basically poison for other people than him. You want everyone else to die? I think i need to remind you about why they bother to fight that big snek. They're trying to make their own good great pills, so everyone in the sect can get their share.
I don't get whatever you're commenting here, he's rebuilding his sect and helping everyone to get stronger but he can't just instantly doing that because no one gonna believe him if he told em that he's the plum blossom sword saint and just accepting whatever he's forcing them to blah blah blah (╯°Д °)╯╧╧
mmm if its taking too long for you then its just not your cup of tea but there is an arc that deals with the elders and their inadequacies bc theyre left to protect the sect w/o chung myung. chung myung is changing, but its most effectively shown when he is alone and thinking about his old family/sect (tournament arc soon :333). he puts in the most effort when he’s training the disciples (baek cheon/yoo iseol noticing its the only time theyve seen him sweat). and he’s very slowly letting them go on battles by themselves, just being extremely cautious bc they’re new to proper fighting and are dealing with opponents ready to kill them… and considering his history, it makes sense he’s a bit protective.
is it perfect? no, i also have some qualms with how much development he gets compared to the other disciples, but im also only on chapter 460
I do wish they had at least one capable martial art teacher.
Too bad chung myung's the best they got.
well the point is that the sect really REALLY sucks before him, so chung myung has to fix everything before slowly weaning them off. the teachers do adopt his ways later on so he doesnt have to be there, but theyre also learning the original/chung myung’s techniques since the style they were taught was horrible.
chung myung has to learn to not be so independent/alone and to actually rely on them; later on everyone starts calling him out on it. but it does take a while
