Hated hanwool at first but now he's one of my favs. Gunyeob was my fav previously and I still like him as a character but I pity and dislike that he's gone off the rails and is just finding someone to blame for his failed plan. I feel like what he did is already unsalvageable though. Found chilli sauce annoying but he's now a central part of the gang and got a glowup. Sunchul's character arc was the best and I like how it was used as a comparison to gunyeob who was isolated and made all the wrong choices.
Yoonbaek phi was always a psychopath. I feel like they tried to make him seem like he veered into the wrong path but he never had any qualms about killing or hurting people unlike gamin.
I don't feel bad for Anti. He doesn't deserve to live. As for Minhwan, he needs to get beaten to a pulp.
I think what made this stand out isn't just the art but that it is horror leaning and has a bit of psychological aspect and human nature involved in a typical korean action monster vs superhuman webtoon. It reminds me a bit of orv with the characters, jungle juice, and survive romance. It's gonna be hard to top this one.
The only drawback is how the monsters work being a bit confusing like with the toll gate monster, and the wish vs desire difference. But I do like the toll gate monster cause it reminds me of a 'troll under the bridge' folklore rather than the standard monster trope.
It's making me ship FL with the black haired girl and blondie (like blondie boy now, spare me I'm no good with names) but I like that it has no real romance.
I'm now looking through my lists and it's difficult to find something similar with the horror and mild psychological element with hunter/monster type webtoons. That's the hallmark of a peak work I guess. The closest I can come to is the early scenes in orv where they survive monsters in that shelter arc. I wish more fantasy monster fighting action webtoons would steer into the horror and psychological element instead of curbstomping monsters with opness and only the MC being op.
What is this? A hollywood star, arab prince, childhood friend and then a vampire? All of them are so fixated on their past lives despite knowing nothing about each other in the present lol. I was hoping for Yoojin or Chris to be endgame though. The only difference this has with wattpad selfinsert fiction is the ntr with that girl (bruh their relationship fell apart so fast cause the only thing keeping them together is that mark).
If it had ended with a 1v1 it wouldn't feel so shallow.
Update: ... This thing actually won the 2023 adult romance lezhin award lmaooo. I suppose that's mainstream taste.
I don't find FL annoying like the comments are saying. And sorry but ML gave off pretty useless vibes for a guy to me. Honestly, they should just stay in their switched bodies if nothing changes.
Update: I'm at chp 24 and I still don't get it. I relate to everything FL says. ML is acting like the stereotypical FL while FL acts like the type of ML I actually like. ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
Update: okay at 33 things are finally starting to turn around. Man that wooseon guy is a POS.
I'm soooo glad this did NOT go down the lame romance arc and was a red herring, girl needs to learn her lesson. You don't need no man, kill this bastard!
ML got double eyelid surgery when he got to korea. But I liked how he was a plain kind of handsome for an isekai otome FL with the brown hair and eyes. I was reading up till chp 30 worried that ML will be someone else.
He and FL have a more natural, realistic, 'my so is my best friend' type of relationship like an already married couple compared to Klein. Also, I like that he was a guy with a sense of duty and didn't revolve around her.
Klein on the other hand I find to be more typical of an isekai romance ML, he makes the FL his whole reason for being, and it's still muddled over whether he was confused over his feelings for his lady or FL and he was still basing his feelings for FL off the original soul even if he can tell FL is different.
For me I feel like the story's true endgame should have been Mio all along.
I don't think he's the ML but it's really hard to stomach. FL is weak and powerless and I don't blame her but why does she still like the dude...
His face card is zero compared to the other two guys. He's irredeemable shit. Even the FL questions herself.
Sigh...
I think I prefer my MLs to have at least another motive other than just obsessing over the FL. The story and FL are fine. I liked the premise and the ML was better in the beginning but I feel like it became another cookie cutter obsessed ML type. He reminds of a typical yaoi alpha top. I'm more interested in the red head dude lol.
And I'm missing Roxanna... ... Thought this would scratch my itch but I don't care for the ML much.
Sorry but I find it ugly. His face is fine and the latter chapter art looks better, but I've only just started and ugh, it looks like he gelled his hair into a helmet.
What did they do to the art? Run out of funds to hire a good artist? The recent chapters are even worse...
There's no way she's quitting being a hunter. The webtoon has to go on~~~ Also, damn my fav new guy is smooth.
She's 16 and he's 12 I think? I kinda wanna see them aged up 5-8 years later. The age gap's actually not that bad the older they get and she did stop him when he tried to get physical. The boy's got fashion and moves, I wanna see what he'll wear when older. Too bad it stopped updating. The British translation was funny to me. Also, I just realised this boy uses 'ore' lmaooo man his personality is so aggressive and confident. On the other hand, for a 16 yo, fl dresses like she's 20+...no 16 yo dresses like that especially in japan bruh.
Suddenly remembered this after seeing the news about the dude in japan with three wives.
It would've been good without the blue haired girl too. At least in the end she got them together. I'd be so mad if this turned into those lame harem pornhwas. It was surprisingly good and the female bodies being different is a first. Just... ...delete the child part please. They could have made her 18 or look 16 at the very least but ugh, the kid appearance is catering too much to a certain demographic.
From how I see it, the whole relationship between FL and ML is based off hate and resentment and starting off on the worst rung in the ladder on a road to destruction. That is the author's intention. FL has zero good feelings towards the ML and sees him as this manwhore stranger barely her age taking over her place in her mother's relationship. It makes sense that she's taking out her anger and bitterness on him. She's trying to force the guy to leave by pushing him to break, but he's not leaving. At this point she doesn't know his full past or that he's manipulated by her mother. But she wants to destroy him. Partly due to her own sadistic feelings and mostly due to her resentment over this threat refusing to budge no matter how much she kicks it.
The author likes doing mirroring of FL and her mother. I wonder if she will end up like her mother tormenting the ML out of her own lust and possession and become the same woman. Or if she will develop real feelings for the ML and it will devolve into jealousy over her mother and she will start to seek love from ML in their screwed up and hidden relationship and he will catch feelings too which will then be a ticking timebomb in their house. I think it'll be both, but if it's purely the former then it will be no better than pure femdom kink while the latter actually has more depth and drama. Or...it could go down the total destruction route where ML can't choose her or love her the way she wants and it'll tie back to the first chapter where the FL is screaming at some guy's silhouette if he loved her giving me daddy abandonment issues. What I find interesting is if the FL and ML will have similar fear of abandonment or threat of replacement. I hope the author develops the ML more and makes him fight for some autonomy but he is essentially powerless now.
Maybe I'm reading too much into it and hoping for too much but it's giving a lot of untold history and drama and fallout potential waiting to happen. If done well it could be great.
Wouldn't read this if not for the psycho one being the bottom. Whoever commented they didn't like yandere bottoms, you can stick to your yandere tops forever. I'm so sick of that trope. This one for all its toxicity actually goes for something different.
Wtf this is too hot...yes, ride him and choke him like a dog
He mistook her for the mother. Her face looks so done I love it. Kinda want him to realise it's her but looks like we're going another route. When they wake up in the morning he's so dead.
