i have mild panic attacks when i talk to ppl (ptsd) but i perform better when i'm sleep-deprived or stressed out about something else... what's the correlation? bc i don't wanna ruin my health but i just wanna talk to ppl normally without having to rely on meds

    maybe the feelings you get from sleep deprivation and stress is your body’s response that serves as a distraction from your PTSD memories so help you perform better. other than meds, there is psychotherapy have you tried it?

    I think you do better in those conditions since you're not fully focused on people or your panic driven thoughts. For me, I become anxious around people or assume people gossip about me when I walk by.

    I did get a bit better by working at a place with a fair amount of people and slowly interacting with them little by little while also reminding myself that the world isn't out to get me.

    I also suggest watching shows or reading stories with uplifting themes or comedies in general. Even journaling or doing arts and crafts could help as you release your stress towards something positive/constructive.

    seems reasonable. and no, part of my ptsd has to do with my previous therapist so other than the two times i went for a diagnosis after (accompanied by my parents, still very uncomfortable), i haven't gone to another.

    i'll have to try that. i become a quivering piece of block if i talk to someone in person without my meds or being sleep-deprived/stressed out beforehand so i hope this helps, even if it's just a little bit.
