Honest to god, I’m waiting for the day “queer” isn’t it’s own movie genre and gay romcoms, or side gay relationships aren’t just comedic relief or a dramatic plot device... I wanna see stories like this animated and mainstreamed... it’s so cute, wholesome, and fluffy. God, how the hell did past generations do something as shitty as make homosexuality taboo, the fuck. Why was this so fucking realistic, I swore this was fiction. I mean don’t get me wrong, it’s fucking brilliant for being realistic about life and relationships but like fuck, man. I have my own shitty drama as a dumb shit in my twenties, I just felt like I read about another life that could’ve been mine. Idk if I’m angry, depressed, empty, or like... mildly entertained? What’s worse is this how I’m going to feel when I’m middle aged or old? Just satisfied with the bare necessity of asking for a fucking hug because I know marriage is a shitstorm? Ugh, I hate reality.

I know Doona’s doing this because she desperately needs a distraction and she’s curious too, but I have a feeling she’s going to regret it just like Haesol. Ultimately, it’s for the best I guess, if she drives this girl away. More and more, she’s becoming like Mr. Kidnapper/Racist dude (forgot his name) if she doesn’t try to fix her mental state soon.

I understand this is a shoujo but I think it’s brilliant for bringing in at least semi-twisted realistic human relationships. Like Hak and Yona are the ideal pair with the underdog troupe, the dragons are loyal knights, and originally Soo-won seemed like a complete villain. They hinted at him not being a monster despite the murder, following an anti-hero troupe BUT very refreshing to seen they’ve introduced gray moral areas in terms of everyone’s logic and upbringings. King Il is a borderline if not full fanatic. His older brother is mercilessly and unforgivably violent. The shrine maiden marrying Il is a traumatized girl who is definitely being used as a pawn by Il. Soo-won’s mother is guilty of complacency for the murder of innocents, doesn’t matter if she loved the murderer nor does authority give the guy the right to do so. So it’s a matter of the battle between two siblings with equally flawed personalities and ideologies, their followers and their descendants getting caught up in their mess.

I mean a monarchy is just a smaller scale attempt at playing god. Humans, historically, don’t handle that well and they are just a product of their circumstances. I think Yona is the best character for being able to see the big picture without any help and not being blinded by any of her emotions, even with something as tragic as the loss of her father. What I hope, however, is that because of Soo-won’s short lifespan, he doesn’t just dump the monarchy on Yona. I would prefer she stay a nomad with the dragons...

I don’t know if this is Shin’s intention or he just wasn’t thinking about Wolfgang’s reaction when he wakes up but... if he’s thinking, an absolutely fucking feral, bloodthirsty rabid lion is going to find me if you kidnap me... then yes, Shin, you’re plan will work I guess. You’re going to unhinge the fuck out of Wolfie.

I think Duna has to disappear from all their lives. I mean I don’t hate her for what she did... she’s part of a certain breed of people who have little discipline and very little impulse control. While they aren’t inherently bad people, they definitely hurt everyone around them. She’s better off alone, finding some other outlet for her pent up destructive tendencies that doesn’t involve other people... idk like the military or living in solitude like some kind of mythical beast in a mountain or something (￣∇￣")

I don’t really care bout morality, I just want to see how the two wolves here circle each other and look for weaknesses. It’s unfortunate the CEO looked like he was dealing with all that unwillingly at the beginning, makes it feel like his psychological armor/desperate coping mechanism is that he adopted a personality that loves the slut role he was forced into. Makes me slightly uncomfortable, but guess that’s the dark angtsy background. Oh well.

So I stopped taking this whole thing as a metaphor a while ago because there’s no way anything but tiny lessons in compassion and understanding and working to change society can apply to the real world since the carnivore/herbivore dynamic is too specific. But like my poor wolf dude suffers whiplash back and forth to be able to live with himself. He needs the strength of a wolf to survive trying to change the world but to be accepted in doing so, he has to rip out his teeth, starve himself, battle for his life, and subjugate himself to everyone’s misunderstandings of his ideals. Jesus, the perverted thing about you isn’t the rabbit loving Legosi, it’s the masochism. He’s a thread away from a tragic hero! Nothing wrong with it, of course lol I just wanted to point out, I hope wolf boy can maybe let some of his wolf traits proudly show besides the general carnivore strength.
