Damn this plot is maddening. The protagonist is frustrating an isekai “Mary Sue”, and the MLs inspires me murder for that world to just implode. Like, which twisted god designed such thing. It’s up for failure, recipe for tragedy. And I sort of wish this could be a tragedy, because it could have been a more serious, seinen, Josei, tragedy idea.
The protagonist is practically groomed by her teacher. It’s damn disgusting. Her upbringing made her quite foolish, not the kind of protagonist I prefer, in fact, it’s frustrating to see her choices.
But I can understand when you are at your lowest, you become an easy target, and that villain, practically used the cultist/scammer tactic to also isolate her.
It makes sense that she is stupid to a certain degrees, the villain, her teacher, basically groomed her that way since 9yo, makes her easier to manipulate.
Will I be reading this? I won’t. I’m not here to fell uncomfortable.
My question will always be .. Parents why do you have yea ? Why do you have kids if you don’t communicate with them ? Kids aren’t just decoration they are responsibility
The start is a typical one of the Martial art genre. But the new take of what followed feels a little more fresh.

But my opinion on the story doesn’t change.
It’s a story about a rotten world with dumb adversaries.
For those that are for some heroic protagonist, you are in the wrong place.
There is no goodness here.
There’s exploitation, hoarding powers to become stronger and stronger.
The part that narrates old legends are interesting in their simple structure, as old tales are.
Whatever reason of the past, the protagonist is a ruthless sociopath now, on the alignments chart he is Evil Neutral.
Not that others are better, their are either stupid, hypocrites, or just trash that are also evil to the bone.
The protagonist get gradually OP, there will always be some negative element, downsides to some “power elements” to keep the rhythm interesting and keep the reader engaged.
but we all know, he will be alright, completing is objectives by any means possible.
Is he smart? Yes.
There are some other rare instances when someone elso also have “smart” moment. But are very rare. Women are stereotypically stupid or heavily emotionally driven, but like any emotionally driven being there, they will die, or maybe not, but defeated none the less, or simply explode in some way.
I’m not a fan, I don’t get the hype. I’m trying to be objective, but still, inevitably biased.
It’s overrated imo.
Among the other Xiangxia stories, yes, it’s one of the best among those.
But those stories are just…subpar.
Far from being the best novel outside that genre.

i mean when have we ever seen a story where we get a good villain pov? All the villain stories out there are either grey or they turn good. That’s what makes RI stand out from the rest.
It was indeed one of the very few at that time among novels too.
My complaint is not really about him being a villain. I'm more frustrated reading about the side characters.

I’m starting to question what is a middle age man…because the protagonist is surely does not look like one.
Look like a teen age boy, because of course, he”s the protagonist.
The quality on the cover is not present in the content.
The body proportion seems to get squished in a bad way sometime.
And it’s just damn random.
Who wrote this really.
Tell the artist drawing to go do exercise and practice.
Because this story need to be rewritten anyway to be worth the effort of being illustrated.

Here’s my two cents of opinions about this.
“Amelia the level Zero Hero”
The title is riding on the same wave of all the other like…”level 1 ranked” and similar stories.
Here it is relevant, yet not. And it make sense for the kind the story they are trying to tell.
There’s a ground of a good idea of a story.
I sort of like the protagonist, but, it lacks some depth.
This issue I directly tied to ONE of MAIN ISSUE, which are the dialogues.
They are a few alright exchange, but MOST OF DIALOGUES are not thought out enough, they lack a purpose, they lack and intention, they are repetitive, and some conversations seems want to say something, but they end up one sided and self conclusive. Pointless. Not even for jokes.

It repeats the pattern of “introducing the adversaries before their reality gets flipped upsidedown by the mc”.
And it’s the same as hearing the same sentence over and over, or just having the same soup all day everyday.
The struggle of the mc against the system are interesting, but the whole world and plot is just setting the mc up to be a Hero anyway. I mean, it’s implied in the title.
At this point, I believe the ultimate rebellion of the mc to break out of that fate imposed on her is to break the forth wall like Deadpool. (Would be funny)
But she won’t, because she does have that “hero” mentality.
It has potential. But who wrote the story, is clearly inexperienced.
The art is not bad, I give that.
Overall. This is a very very simple and linear story. And some action of some character, those too are not much thought out. Self absorbed conviction that have no regard of much else. Like the fight in ch.45… I don’t want to spoiler, but I want to bring up the memes about Dragon Ball where fights are in the desert and Western Superheroes that fights in cities.
Will I keep reading? Yes. I hope to see that potential that I feel to grow…
Will I be disappointed? I’m used to that at this point.
