A small part of me doesn't blame him for how he felt in the first timeline, but he let the poor girl suffer more than what she was already dealing with. I knew he must have regretted treating her, not exactly horribly as he wasn't abusive which was great but the avoidance was a bit much. It didn't surprise me he also regressed to save her while she tried to do the same to him by leaving after gaining the money she needed. I love these two and their dynamic, it's not the most annoying unlike others I have read. FL also admits she is fool but she is human, she likes the ML and wants to save him in anyway she can.
Okay, first and foremost, the method Franz chose was extremely wrong, however... I can’t say I exactly blame him. He witnessed his mother being poisoned and no one believed him. His sister was also in danger and no one listened to him. He was powerless and desperate for revenge that he was blinded by the enemy's true purpose and was played like a fiddle to do their dirty work while they handled other matters. It was going to end like this either way.
Annette cutting off her brother is also the right decision. He caused problems and now she has to clean it up his mess.
I had three suspects - Lance, The Uncle and the Emperor. I am now leaning towards the Emperor because of his heavy disdain for Richard. He can't go after his father due to being dead, to which I believe he murdered the previous Duke when he tried to kill off the Carté family but Richard survived. The only way to torment him is by killing any wife that marries into the family regardless if they were close or not. If the Emperor is the one behind all this, then he is a coward. Punishing a man, for a long time before adulthood, for being born and killing his cousin for the mental distress she was going through.
To force a child into this that she can't differentiate between sacrifice and genuine happiness is killing me. Fuck her family for putting her up to this, I pity no one. Glad Lui is a good one here and is actually shy. He saw the overall problem after going through what she grew up to be to and will have a hard time convincing her she isn't a sacrifice but a bride.
She has so many marble out of the bag that you can't call her a dumb fl... She literally grew up and taught She is not anymore more or less than a sacrifice. You can't blame her for not understanding things due to the lack of education and actually books for her to learn, much less how to feel correctly and process emotions.
Everyone is was too hot. I am attracted to both protagonist that it isn’t even funny. Poor Abel though, stuck with trying to seduce a woman who has never even been with a man, much less knows how social life works. Of course, you will fail tremendously. Oscar is able to move her without even trying. This poor guy has to literally get good or better looks.
But damn, I feel sexually frustrated seeing both of them and wanting them to do the devil's tango.
I don’t like George one bit. I truly don't. His expression and his story are too convenient but as soon as the Duke mentioned his background with women, George faltered as if he forgot about that part. The whole Empire knows of his behavior as a playboy and the Duke, taking this man with a grain of salt, will beat the hell out of him if he wants Danielle so badly. However, after being faltered, his expression didn't look rehearsed which tells me he might be either genuine after all or didn't think his plans through fully.
There is no way she could go and forget this. How could she? Yes, she was desperate to leave the game, but she also made memories, for better or worse. She finally got her father and second brother to a redeemable spot where they actually are worth giving a fuck about, Callisto is one of the best MLs I have ever seen who only thought about what the FL wanted through and through. He wants her as his person, but loves her too much to keep her bound in a world that was cruel to her. He understood her wants and dreams better than any other MLs from other stories did for their FLs. Penelope wouldn't give him up like that, no man in the real world would be worth it at that point.
Even I wouldn't be able to forget everything if I returned back. I'd be living in a nightmare constantly remembering that moment. I honestly would choose to stay. Callisto was always by her side, the one who was patient enough to follow her whims, believed her sayings of another world, and lowkey did not show possessiveness unlike MLs in manhwa. He let her be, but kept track of where she went in case it was too dangerous for her, then he would show up and protect her when she's in trouble. He's anything we could've ever want. I BELIEVE GIRLY WILL STAY, OR... she'll take him with her.
Um Sir- mind you, she is a patient, control thyself until she is better.
You can see just how he teases her, he enjoys this Irene slowly, and will show adamantly of his refusal towards liking Irene. He sees her in a different light, not yet too trusting but quietly observing her. He wouldn’t have honestly saved her if he didn't like her enough despite being her guard.

This was quite frustrating and hard to read. The first like 20 or chapters was nonstop tears, quietly cussing out the male lead to finally look at the female lead and see ger suffering. I am juat glad he finally understood! Fuck Hayden, I pity his wife and child.
