Aiden's character is refreshing af-
don't get me wrong he messed up and his actions are a big yikes, but it's a breath of fresh air to see something akin to an immortal/OP being with this kind of attitude. Maybe it's just me (me, who is in the process of digging through every romance fantasy manga on this website) but normally these kind of characters are portrayed as unbeatable bastards who fall in love with a human and become normies for their sake.
Aiden's selfishness and frantic actions, his whole personality as a naive newbie adult dragon, stand out in contrast to how one might usually portray an allmighty dragon.
Fuck making the dragon human, let's just make the human immortal.
I look forward to how Aiden will try to make a justifiably furious Wendy forgive him. Since there isn't much to do right now plot-wise, might aswell grab some popcorn and watch the dragon beg on his knees for mercy.
I swear I'm not a sadist.
Right??? When I started reading and noticed the characters eyes, I thought it was reallly similar to My Darling Signed In’s art style and then as soon as I saw Aiden (istg he looks so similar to the main character) I had to go and check the author’s other works section on the story to see if it was the same author lmao
Well this got heavy af. But I kinda get Rose's perspective a little more now. I don't think she wants to become Queen just for revenge though. With the help of the Duke she could've screwed her family a long time ago. I mean, she had the means to hire someone who had the guts to mess with the rulers of a kingdom, fucking over her family at that point would've been easy, no?
Her despair and hatred must've morphed into desire for power at some point in time.
With that said, I'm also sold that she never truely loved the King to begin with, and only saw the guy as a handy tool to become powerful. It's not unusual for a rape victim like her to become wary (and scared) of males.
Using him as a stepping stone might've satisfied some of her hunger for revenge/power.
And to add more to my rant theory about Rose's mentality:
This kind of mindset would also explain why she didn't cry for the Emperor when he told her about his trauma, and why she said what she said.
He is a victim, like her, yet telling him to never speak about it, because that's exactly how she (didn't) cope. She is ashamed of what happened to her and was never able to speak up about it, so she is projecting it onto him.
Thank you for listening to my TED talk.
Melissa better go for Nine's perfect ass, otherwise I'll commit crimes.
But seriously this webtoon's pacing and character building is SO good. And I had to chuckle multiple times throughout my read.
Melissa's personality spices things up a lot. It's refreshing to see an MC in this setting that can talk both business or bullshit, without coming off like a total bitch. The humour helps a lot with that too.
Ugh and the sneaky sneak peaks we get of what-/whoever is behind this novel world is also juicy af.
Really looking forward to future chapters~
I like that the FL has an actual refreshing personality. She's selfish for Izana's love and doesn't act all pure and innocent. She's also fucking moronic lmao. It's kinda frustrating aswell. Idk whether the author does it for the purpose of telling the story or just to show off Ginger's stupidity but fuck me. For example, it doesn't make much sense for her to hide the book from Izana. Even if it is unbelievable at first- she could've just handed the book over to him right away after she read the ending (and realized that Izana is in for a tragedy), but for some reason it had to be squeezed out of her?
And why not tell Izana about how her rival also knows about the book *right away*? He literally asked Ginger to tell him everything about her seconds after Ginger thought of the fact... and she doesn't have any reason to not tell him. On the contrary, that could potentially be information that would help keep him from falling for her rival, wtf.
Not to mention the whole thing about rewriting the book.. Why, just why? There's literally no good reason to do that. And switching up the rival's necklace is just as useless imo. So what if she doesn't have the necklace anymore? Not only she gonna hunt down Ginger asap, it also doesn't change the fact that she has information of/connections to her grandpa that cursed Izana to begin with.
I'm gonna flip my table if Ginger's stupidity is gonna be the root of any major drama in the future. Drama based on someone's stupid mistakes is the worst torture and has no way of being satisfyingly resolved.
I dread the future...
So the MC is living another life as a princess thanks to her mom and this weird ass jewel- Pretty curious as to why? Maybe it's some family secret or a test?
But ngl it's hard to keep up with the story, feels like it's rushing through a check list of exposition and plotpoints instead of giving the characters more depth. But who knows, maybe that'll change with later chapters.
I get that this webtoon is supposed to be a parody and/or just light hearted and fun but idk man... After the first few chapters the MC's slap stick "fuck everything" attitude gets really tiring. The confusing art style (or rather lack thereof) also only makes things kinda painful to see. I'm pretty sure a lot of the illustrations, and especially the "drawings" of buildings, aren't the artist's own work. Even if this webtoon is meant to be purely for fun, that doesn't excuse it of being lack luster to me.
The storyline isn't anything super special, but it's a good time waster when you just want to enjoy some cliche romance isekai.
Also, it's so bitter how Bina's first child (who was named after an Empress that was executed while pregnant) executed another pregnant woman herself. Atleast it wasn't mentioned that she let the child be born before killing the woman.
It would've been nice if the story went into a little more detail regarding Beatrice's personality and the other side characters' lives aswell. But the end made it up for me. It ties up Bina's and Luke's family legacy in a neat bow and leaves some room for our imagination.
If this Crown Prince is already hard to handle, imagine the other sexist one...
Oh boi.
But I have to admit that I like that the FL doesn't go for the Empress' seat, which happens once every full moon in these types of isekai webtoons/novels, and that the princes have actual personalities instead of just being horny for the FL lol.
Well, honestly I'm not gonna be surprised if and when Motia just declares independency and the FL turns into a Queen/Empress that way (Might aswell use the Princes' visits to be like "Yall disrespecting me, so eat shit"). This is pure speculation of course but let's not pretend like there aren't some serious hints towards that becoming a thing.
Why do I have this foreboding that the gangster hired by the psycho stalker is gonna join in on simping over Yoonchae at some point?
Theyd be besties ngl hahahahaha
