if you want a somewhat more serious answer, i think for me it stems from childhood neglect lmaoo. Since my parents were not affectionate towards me nor did they give me much attention, i've always been uncomfortable with affection, both showing and receiving it, so i enjoy stories where i can project onto a character that is forcefully loved.
