people saying blondie cant feel or understand emotions to explain his attitude kinda annoy me. because even if true, he clearly KNOWS the inherit value and power that emotions hold, even if he struggles to feel them, and we know this because he perfectly expresses himself in certain ways to get what he wants. He literally has a rep of acting like the perfect boyfriend or putting out a perfectly socially acceptable disposition to manipulate people into getting his way- he KNOWS emotions are powerful and why certain acts or words will influence others in ways he can use. to say he’s innocent or in the dark of how others feel based off his actions is actual bullshit- truth is, this dude simply never viewed anyone as equal to himself, because even sociopaths know the standard of equality, such as treating others with basic respect, regardless of your ability to empathize with them. he just truly never faced social, financial, or emotional consequence for his actions, therefore without strong empathy, he never felt any remorse in using others. which is NOT the same as being unaware of how he emotionally hurt others- he just didnt care that he did and was too privileged to face any backlash. to say he has to learn to understand emotions bothers me, bc this guy has a phd in that shit given his ability to weaponize it. the truth of the matter is not that he cant feel or identify emotions, he just never gaf about anyone else so he never saw any value in considering others’ perspective or feelings outside of his own interests.

I feel weird with anything involving US gov, given the news erupting now about how involved it is in multiple other countries and deeply involved it is in outwardly known history.

god i LOVE how madame chautereuxe is depicted or drawn, with the comicbook and abstract artstyle, and how faceless she is except a few distinct moles and bright lipstick. also perinule, omg how she’s depicted and drawn and her perspective/internal thoughts that skim over clear grooming and sexual abuse that ran rampant through her life. i also tried sesrching up her name and it’s either related to perinneal or to a body part between the private parts and ur butt, both that could be symbolic of someone who’s been objectified throughout her life that seems to be just cycles of abuse recycled in new forms. and the symbolism between fishiness, rotten lakes/fighting against current/fate yet she sees her godlike savior/pastor as the leviathan stirring the currents of the rotten waters is so good omg. like theo being seen/heard as a siren by siche is another layer of that, and the picture of the spearman and leviathian is so good bc theo represents both. and ugh i felt chills seeing how perinule, as a kid, was in a sea of stares as she was dragged away for sex work, and when theo saved her, her abuser was speared but censored as a fish. like how that scene was drawn felt like the alleyways and her fate was to be dragged into the flow of the river by the inhabitants of the sea (the abuser w the fishhead), but when she was with theo, that background doesnt crop up. however after he says she should become a prostitute, she immediately returns to those visuals of her settings and background being a sea of corpses, with her submerged in it. it’s like she always saw her surroundings as dirty and hopeless, and she finally “accepts/embraces” her background and destiny of those currents dragging her back in (like her talks about destiny and fate being compared to the flow of a river with siche rlly stuck to me), because she’s okay with being forced into the flow of the monster of the sea who is thrashing the flow of rhe water. i hope she’s able to get out of there. i love her so much, she deserves so much moreweew
