highkey though, i was checked out the moment they gave us flashbacks to yujin’s dad and how he was acting all that bc his wife fell. and with yujin’s dad being in jail and making ZERO sense as to how he’s maintained power in the american jail system for multiple years while wasting resources on messing with his son’s love life for no apparent reason, i already gave up on expecting much character depth outta any of these characters

i get that the author’s theme is how some of humanity’s worst evil exists bc evil sometimes has no cause, it’s just a side effect of being human, but the authoe draws it like a damn edgelord who feels privvy to the darkest parts of humanity like bro, what society DOESNT have a history of normalized pedophilia between kids, or violent and sexual assaults against women and children?? like if u want to make gruesome social commentary, then treat this shit like a real problem bc in real life, all these issues come with major social change and protest. the author half-asses this shit bc they donr actually gaf about these problems, rather, they just want to focus on a gruesome, abstract artist interpretation of it. i never say this about anyone, esp about a stranger, but on god this author seems to have some type of sexual deviancy- the gov gotta check their harddrive.

??? the rating is so low but this is such a good start?? the art matches the vibe, and so far the setting is super interesting!! i like how we see the character and overall plot through implicit means, vs an initial exposition that fast paced manhwas/adapted light novels give off

i actually can't believe the rating is so low. the TL is fine, the plot is immersive, and i feel like the characters (even the ones with limited screentime) are pretty consistent throughout all the timelines that MC creates with them. and MC is pretty likeable. And the art is SO good and i feel like matches the story very well (slightly blurry and oil-pastel like, sorta reminds me of that one absurdism piece with melting time even if that artist is fucked up).

i like this so far- i just have to shut off my brain and believe that this is truly how wall street is ran, which is at a neutral evil of selfishness, vs something more nefarious and ancient in western history
