Author started with seme as a child to demonstrate how FRAGILE he actually is (dragon or not). It’s a lot harder to create a side of vulnerability and empathy for a powerful being as an adult with crazy strong powers (like he is in the present TL). But that soft, cry-baby side does not make him an actual child! It’s just a representation of his social capacity since he didn’t get educated as a dragon -_- and no. Taehyuk is not taking advantage of that ignorance. So when the romance does develop, it’s really a natural course of action because seme grew up seeing humans as ugly being. Taehyuk is his representative of good, love, kindness, etc. the same way we have bad relationships in real life and fall hard for people who show us the opposite. Jeez
Seme is actually capable of seeing the error of his ways! And his father (mother?) has also demonstrated the ability to understand emotions of others and give good advice. He’s not a hopeless thug. Just..a regular thug LOL learning to love
I’m sure the child isn’t going to be completely disconnected from Seram. The baby is part dragon lol so I’m sure they will be able to use spirits and they have a tree infused with Serams energy/as a guardian. It’s sad but I doubt the author would forget all these elements and just have a clueless, abandoned child trope
In other mangas, dragons are ALWAYS written with these long lifetimes and weird concept of time. A full adult life could feel like nothing to a dragon…so y’all should be worried about Taehyuk hooking up with a grandpa LOL
