Hi, i finished the story and it was a pain. The first 30 chapters or so were nauseous, even after I couldn't bring myself to like him. I can't believe people are calling this a redemption because what the ML did is a thousand times worst than what mc did. Even if mc killed an innocent person, torturing, raping and destroying his life only because he couldn't accept his love for him is sick. He was a madman and even in the other life he continues to be, thinking of hurting him to make him stay and being a black flag as bis as a house. Of course, there were cute moments but this can't excuse all the shit he put the mc through. He obligated mc to have his babies after being raped multiple times, he abandoned him and then when he tried to kill himself he only thought of himself. Not enough, he threw him out after birth for 2 years being raped for a piece of bread, only to bring him in and continuously raping him to have his babies. I hate him and I am repulsed by him, be it the past life or the new one.
I just read ch.5 and ml already annoyed me. What about his redemption arc? I’m considering whether I should continue or not.
It’s not the good. The ML doesn’t really change more like destiny does because the MC does. There’s not real resolution on the ML’s part in my opinion and acknowledgement of what happened to the mc so if you want a satisfying oh my god I’m horrified by what I did I’m sorry. You won’t really get it here. There’s some moments that haunt him bbbbbuuuuuuttttt it’s chalk up to well I’m not that person so I will not and that just a dream. So yeah

Girl he knew the whole time. He was overjoyed by it too bcs he thought he was finally gonna break and cry or beg for mercy. The whole point of him torturing him in the first life is for him to cry, so that ML has prove that mc isn't a devil.

Because it’s reminded me of the second couple where the seme wanted to see the uke broken beyond repair so the seme would be the savior and the only one for the uke in the end. Ugh! Hi I stopped reading this since the dragon region archon. I finished it but j was very upset that the mc left his friends and that the dragon had a family and completely forgot the friendship they shared. This was my favorite fantasy story i eagerly waited every chapter but since then I lost interest. Could you tell me if it's worth picking it up again? I loved the mc and his character development but if the friendship we shares with others is like the first group idk if I wanna read it.
Yes, it is imho. I shared the same doubts as you regarding that arc which looked completely out of place at first but in the end the author is able to glue it to the main arc in a very decent way, so it's not a useless filler. Word of advise you're going to see that a lot during season changes. It seems this author loves to completely puzzle the readers and make them wonder if they missed any chapters while reading.

Jake was never truly a gangster, he was handling an undercover mission as, like you said, he’s an agent for a ‘secret service’ (essentially the cia). The reason why shin is interfering with Jake’s work is simply, he has nothing to lose and wants to help the man he loves, he’s basically just ride or die. Their dynamic is more intense now, they sort of rely on each other a lot more since they’re more serious about their relationship. Hopefully that covered all your questions :)
