honestly, why not just make a new story rather than ruining a perfect one???

    June 17, 2026 11:53 am

THIS!!! The author is so cuckoo for doing this

If a story has a r@pe scene out of nowhere (you felt like the author only put it there for some shit) do y'all think a sad backstory can justify it?

    Lucio August 16, 2025 6:22 am

fuhh no bc tbh a lot of authors js use that as an excuse to justify it unfortunately

    Gojopubichair August 16, 2025 6:24 am

No it doesn't justify it :v) for some character it can be an explanation for their behavior but not a justification.

    puppyboy August 16, 2025 6:24 am

No, but i do think something like cant be justified. rape is a horrible thing but it is in a lot stories cuz i think its like a kink for a lot of peolpe, or lots of people do get off on it lol. i mean which also is like ... idk... but like i get it lmao. a lot of movies are also like this. i feel like movies or stories in general are a inside view of the directors or authors mind

not jsut in stories cuz its a kink** could be for other reasons

gojos cock sleeve August 16, 2025 8:56 am

rape is *never* justified though. doesn't matter if its random, if it happened out of nowhere, or even if there was buildup for it. it can never ever be justified

Do y'all think having r@pe scenes in a story is necessary or what you do guys think the authors are thinking during the making of that part?

    Tonikaku August 13, 2025 3:35 pm

Absolutely not necessary to show rape in graphic detail but writers do it because sensationalizing rape and noncon sells in this genre. Just see how many readers defend this type of content on these sites and goon to it.

    August 13, 2025 3:41 pm

Adding r@pe in a story without making it graphic and showing that it is a traumatizing and deeply damaging thing? Not necessary, but go for it, if it adds to the story.
Adding r@pe in a story, making it graphic just because corn sells and brushing it off as if normal daily occurrence + romanticizing it? Not necessary, harmful and displays lazy writing.

    baibai August 13, 2025 3:43 pm

Unnecessary, especially if it does not serve the story any purpose. I understand that sometimes it serves as plot driver however most of the time it is drawn and shown in such unnecessary detail and could even take the whole chapter or even more.

    100% agree

    Gojopubichair August 13, 2025 3:46 pm

It is never necessary. The way most author does it is romanticizing it and glossing over it. Most of them use rape as a plot device to basically build some sort of attraction between two characters base on the sexual act they're having and they'll give them this half ass redemption...So it's literally just lazy writing...And there are some authors who are just sick in the head and create shit like reverse thinking up.

    Red candy August 13, 2025 3:48 pm

Not necessary at all. Like it's okay to write about a character's past where they experienced it, but to draw it graphically?? Hell nah. And worse than that is drawing rape between the main characters, then treat it as a plot point. Makes me mad

    sukunas_bitch August 13, 2025 3:51 pm

i am not against r@pe scene if it adds to the story but sometimes its too much with no action taken against it or no revenge just stockholm syndrome .. which i hate like file a case bro kill them leave them do something... i dont like authors romanticising grape

gojos cock sleeve August 13, 2025 3:57 pm

i mean sure, it can be necessary, if its treated like the crime it is. for example in stigma, or wet sand. when its treated like it should be treated, not glorified or brushed over or used as fetish material for weirdos. i dont believe drawing it out in extreme detail and focusing on the 'pleasure' that the victim & rapist feel is necessary at all, i think thats when u know its just a kink for these authors

jigus juicy tits in my mouth August 13, 2025 4:57 pm

Rape scenes between the main characters? Unnecessary. A relationship based on violence is a bad one.

Rape scenes between mains and a past/current trauma? Sure. Just don't draw it in detail. Hint at it or smth.

My reasoning for this is because crimes still exist even in the fictional world and for a character to have been a victim and survived and is getting better through whatever means is good story telling. But a story that focuses on the sexual violence between a relationship and romanticizes it is bad story telling.

    Meliodas August 13, 2025 7:05 pm

Absolutely not necessary, especially when it’s not a story which talks about but a fluffy romance, it’s so anticlimactic!! Even if is portrayed as fairly heavy, rape is often treated as something normal by authors (or they don’t give the right impressions of what means) in the story and that’s sick. An example is Jinx, the author crealy stated they loved and enjoyed every sex scenes when asked which they preferred, so I think they like it. I don’t know why it is so normalized rape in BLs, like is something normal
