In manor house comics you've always got to have either a dog or a butler called 'Sebastian'. Why is that name so popular with manga writers LOL. Long ago I resolved never to name a son 'Sebastian' b/c the other brats would just call him 'Sebastard' but it's nice to see the name getting some love elsewhere...
... hoping this is one of those stories where he's not *really* a sociopath and there's just some trauma or whatnot that cut off his emotions and he'll be less terrifying when he experiences healing through the heroine's strength and sincerity, otherwise it's just too depressing for Amaryllis, who is a very likeable character. He's just awful! lol
... even though I can't see how this could possibly have even a bittersweet ending unless their time traveling ghost + astral projection (?) combo can actually change the past? Also I'm a little confused--is this a memory of their high school date or did Cheng go back in time and relive it? looks like I need to reread the last couple of chapters LOL
Xuexue is sooo pretty, I love the way she's drawn.
if I were Rosa I'd want to grind everybody's face in the dirt too, ngl. And lest we forget, these kids are *four years old* LOL. Despite being a princess, Rosa is so isolated and lonely she makes excellent prey for an agent of chaos? If you want your kids to hate each other, do exactly as these parents do, haha. Also, what kind of trustless marriage... this whole family is a mess. Rosa got the right idea to get the hell out XD That red bird is just as manipulative as the black cat, he's just 'cute and sunny' so he skates under the radar.
The irony is both were treated the same until the regression. Rosa believes since she was born first that she is deserving of everything [like most kids her age going through the "mine" phase]. She's not at fault for her personality since it's definitely the fault of the mother and the nanny for not instilling proper growth guidance.
I'm leaning towards Joey convincing her to leave to allow better growth on the dark path without having to tread with caution.
I have no sympathy for Rosa; she could have chosen to get along with her sister and grown, but chose the selfish path with a want to kill her sister. Look back at the previous line, she gave her sister a scent pouch with poison in it. She'd been trying to kill her sister even though the girl lived in the shadows being the best support she could for Rosa only to be toyed with from the very beginning.
This is bananas, I'm hooked! I'd stick around for the incredible background/panel scroll art alone but the heroine is cute, hilarious, and unintentionally terrifying as she navigates a (beautifully and creepily drawn) horror world--unassailably convinced she's been dropped into a fantasy romance. A plot even shows up--eventually! The most fun you'll have in the isekai genre!

her dad is so fucking funny omg
