The art is amazing!!! The scenes and characters faces always make me laugh. Plus the story is amazing!!! Usually it’s one or the other lol.

Pleb May 31, 2024 4:24 am

It would have been really cool if the premis of this story focused on Baeksa learning about humanity and forming a friendship with Yehwa while they killed off all the rapist. Hopefully Yehwa would get a happy ending too and maybe find meaning to keep on living. It would have been even cooler if the step son was part of the team killing rapist instead of being a creepy rapist himself.

Ugh also hate it when authors are super explicit with the rape scenes. I don’t need to see it all to know how violent, degrading and tragic this type of harm is. Like why zoom in on the lightsabers when someone is being raped.

Like I get the feeling that this author is being thoughtful and trying to create a powerful story. But all the graphic rape undermines the horror they’re trying to portray cause now the audience is complicit. Making us the same type of villan as all those bystanders.

Pls someone let me know if Yehwa gets to experience some kind of peace or Justice.

For the love of God go outside lol

Yehwa is basically already dead. He only lives on as a vague entity in the dream sequences Baeksa experiences and the only time he "came back" was to manipulate Baeksa into killing Muyeon for some reason we haven't seen yet.

The impact of what Yehwa lived through and his relationship with Muyeon would be halved if this was suddenly some shounen-ai-esque series where everyone gets to live happily ever after despite their trauma. This is a deep, mature series about what it means to live with the consequences of your actions ((or even inactions in Muyeon's case since he failed to free Yehwa)) and how not everyone wants to live on with their trauma.

If you honestly think someone who is raped and drugged at least a dozen times a day, everyday, and beaten if he tries to refuse or defend himself would be happy to continue living a life like that you're delusional.

I want Yehwa's spirit to find peace and pass on. I want Baeksa to learn to love humans through his time being on the mortal plane. I want Muyeon to realize that he failed to protect the person he loved once already, but that doesn't have to be the same with Baeksa. Each of these characters are getting their second chances through Baeksa and interacting with him. Not everything is going to be sunshine and rainbows.

As for the explicit rape scenes you can literally skip over them. There's lil to no significant dialog in them unless you suddenly see Yehwa himself pop-up and then you can read what is being said then. We been knowing this series wasn't going to be lighthearted. You're supposed to feel disgusted watching the horrible shit that happened to Yehwa. It's not meant to be romantic in the least and is meant to make the reader sympathize with Yehwa/Baeksa and want to crawl out of your skin.

If you can't handle that then go read something else instead of assuming shit.

How did blackmailing and leaking personal information to extort sex because a romance plot? Like why is this such a common plot line?

It’s okay for Naui to be feeling how he does (we can’t control what emotions arise within us) - but the way he’s processing it is so immature. Like ignoring Muhyeok, hitting, yelling.

A person’s dating history doesn’t say anything about them, nor does the amount of sexual partners they’ve had cheapen them (or warrant being called dirty).

And STI testing should be done before and after having a new sexual partner. Even if it’s just one. That’s just taking your health seriously.

Like if a person can’t cope with someone having a long dating record they should just not date those ppl. It must be hurtful to be shamed for enjoying your sexuality and having fun with other ppl. But if like said person you just except them for who they are.

Cause a cheater will cheat. Even a person who’s only dated 1-2 ppl can cheat. Like how ppl assume anyone who’s bi is more likely to cheat just cause they have more ‘options’. :(

    KuroNekoMiina May 8, 2024 3:55 pm

I agree but usually having more exes = more problems. And I’m also pretty sure this is naui’s first relationship, so first time having to face these type of emotions hence the immaturity. But honestly ur right if he can’t handle it he shouldn’t date muhyeok but I’m sure he can he just needed time to process. Especially him not being muhyeoks type, like not even close. Personally dating someone that isn’t really into my type is definitely scary cuz imagine u end up liking them a lot but they realise they don’t like ur type. That sucks ass and something I personally wouldn’t choose to go into. But nauis already too deep in the sauce.

    Pleb May 8, 2024 4:09 pm

Of course! Naui’s emotions make a lot of sense! I think it’s very normal to feel a little insecure at the moment. I just find that romance writers in general tend to write adult characters very immaturely - so it gets frustrating.
Naui and Muheyok are both almost 30. So to read Naui teenage response just makes me tired. lol

Honestly I know people well over 30 who act just as immature.

Pleb April 30, 2024 8:44 pm

Story about blackmailing someone and raping them until they ‘like’ you. Wtf. It’s so upsetting.

Pleb April 18, 2024 6:02 pm

I really hate how so many BL authors see having sex as being ‘conquered’. I guess it fits with all the dub-con and rape elements in a lot of yaoi.

It’s always the bottom who’s ’conquered’ and I have a couple of reasons why I think that is. But associating sex with ‘conquering’ means that you’re touching someone who says no. Cause if both parties agree that’s not ‘conquering’.

Like is it the market?? Do gay relationships in manga only sell if there’s rape/dub-com?? Do authors think people enjoying sex isn’t sexy??? Like I don’t understand??

Cherry Magic, Given, Yuri on Ice have all done financially well. What am I missing? It’s so confusing trying to figure out why so many authors can’t write sex scenes.

    Sparkl3s April 21, 2024 1:26 pm

    Oh my god, agreed!!
    Like is it THAT hard?
Why do they have to make something that can obviously can be better, play out in the least comfortable way ever???
And not the ignorance of romanticizing rape-
Authors r on fucking "wild" spree with their comics and people really feed it too much.
Like the amount of bl animes that suck and don't even deserve to be that famous
Being famous only because they are one of the few that exist...like gosh guys WE CAN DO BETTER

How could Ken fall in love with someone who killed his brother? The author really glossed over that. All the other characters reasoning for their behaviour makes sense. But getting together with the murder of a loved one. :/

    Buttercup April 13, 2024 10:13 pm

Probably because he was already in love and also, Ken knew that Ian was in the wrong trying to helping the vampires. I mean, he literally saw him trying to kill Daniel.

Ya. But he saw ML brutally killing other ppl.

I guess what I’m trying to get at is why write the character as mourning the brother’s death if he’d forgive the murderer -!who he’s only know for a couple of weeks. If anything, it shows that MC never cared that much. It’s very insincere.

I just didn’t expect it from a character who has so far been written as kind, compassionate, and who values his relationship with his brother.

The MC response is inconsistent with the narrative we’re getting. Like why all these flashback to their childhood memories and tears if you’re banging the murderer????

Like if some dude I liked killed my sibling (and I found out that said dude wanted to kill my sibling). That dude is dying. I don’t care how much I like/love you.

Also, the vampires being ‘bad’ is too sus. Vampires are bad because the church says so? Doubtful. The same organization that killed May’s dad for helping his lover escape. Totally, the pinnacle of well-meaning and protection. The financial gain was totally not the motivator at all.

Pleb April 4, 2024 4:21 am

All I keep thinking about is that Jerry is an adult male trapped in a child’s body who has to romance children.

    TurtleWithATopphat April 4, 2024 5:09 am

Which is why I’m so glad he keeps bringing up his real age He’s been actively AVOIDING romancing anyone, poor guy TT
