I didn't realize this was the same author as school love story. So, is this the author's MO? Make a cute story and ruin it about halfway through? I'm really seeing a pattern here, when the main characters finally get together, the past comes back to hunt them after like, one chapter of bliss lol, and side characters start getting more backstory, mostly unnecessary, and the main characters stop communicating. The uke is the most frustrating one in the duo, and there's a completely avoidable break up arc, then a completely unsatisfying ending.
Well, the author certainly has a type of story they want to tell....
That open ending was both unnecessary and unearned author #-.-). The story was already confusing as balls, the least you could do was tell us "they lived happily ever after".
Spoilers
For those confused, the ending implies that Reeve might've survived the soul cutting, not Hawthorne. So the poor guy, after living like a shadow his whole life, might be dead.
So, the author just abandoned the troubled character? I know therapy and healing is a long and hard process, and it's understandable for one partner irl to say "I love you but I can't handle this" and leave. But isn't that the beauty of fiction? The author can make things work out in the end despite all the obstacles? You're telling me freaking 50 SoG can write past the ml's sole reason for picking the fl being that she reminded him of his "crackhead mother", but this author can't do anything with Minyul, the inherently sweet boy who actively wants to heal his trauma and change to be a better partner?
ヾ(❀╹◡╹)ノ~ Would You please marry me?
I completely agree, I love Minyul, yes he might've been overbearing and possessive but, there was so much potential to his character. Put him therapy for those 2 years make him grow, give them a chance to a better relationship.
I didn't like Hyun for a boyfriend because he wasahis BFF he never acted on his feelings to be notice he kept quiet, not until he felt like he was being rob he started acting. But as a character I did like him.
Can anyone explain the harem ending me? I'm really, really not into harems, but if the romance is more of a side plot, or treated casually then it's tolerable. Is it a "I love all of you and I just can't choose, woe is me" or "I don't particularly like any of you but I'll keep you around" situation?
Well, i don't have the details yet couse i didn't read the novel, just saw some spoilers... But acording to people that did read it the history is kinda a slow burn romance, more focused in politics and stuff like that... romance having a little bit less space.
And about how the harem works... Well she is a Emperess...it was normal of the for emperors and kings to marry many woman.. So i think that she marrying three men was not of a big deal... And also aparently the fluff between the couples os divide equally
Guess I'll read it until it pushes my limits then. I honestly don't understand why so many people are excited for the harem. To me, it's not fun watching someone jerk others' feelings around, never committing to one. Especially if the guys are all lovable like the comments are saying. Whether it's a female harem or a male harem, both are terrible and hurtful.
Really cute story. Sad about the extras. Hopefully someone else feels like translating it. I want to scold the people who stole that other group's translations, but people like that only care about short-term gain. I don't think I can ever understand people who blatantly disrespect the group's desires just to....idk, read it more conveniently? Then not read it at all when the group drops it? It just feels so alien to me.
I understand the teachers turning a blind eye to prostitution between students. Rich and powerful Alphas, no one brave enough to report it, corruption etc. But a freaking rape party? Not even in private rooms and shit, just out in the open? I can't suspend my disbelief that much. This is the age of the internet, record that shit and post it online. It's literally right there.
I'll be honest, I won't be happy if the story just ends with our omega getting his prince charming and living happily ever after while a hundred more omegas live in fear. I need to see some consequences for that rape game. The author took it too far imo. At least throw in a line about this being a dystopian society or something.
I'm guessing this is because those alphas are higher class and hold a higher rank among the teachers. if they were just normal average class or low class alphas then maybe the teachers would have the power to do something but, then again omega's are considered "the bottom of the food chain" they are disrespected and pushed around.if the teacher was the word corrupt enough they probably wouldn't do anything anyway. This type of story is really fascinating to me I love seeing the omegas climb out of their holes and earn their happy endings

Mao is completely to blame for his unrequited love tbh. He knows that the man he loves has room temp in Sahara Desert IQ and he wants to play coy with his love....yes licking someone's nipples counts as coy in this universe, don't question it lol
